BitCo Consumer Review

Hi All,

All feedback on the forum is taken into consideration and please know that we are working on each and every concern raised as fast as we can (within reason, of course).
@disiza & @Cal384 thank you for the positive feedback.

@Senshi, we understand that Jarryd has been in contact with you over private email throughout the course of this working day. We are engaging with you to ensure your query is resolved in a sufficient manner.

Fair enough. Besides I can always keep LTE for gaming and use BitCo for everything else. Man, I just hope I have line of sight!

Always a good thing to have a choice or alternative. I also had LTE for gaming which wasn't half bad, however the consistency and stability was questionable, but more importantly................. damn it was expensive!

Best of luck on LOS

@BitCo, I am moving houses at the end of the month, how do I get my connection moved? I tried to obtain the information from your support staff on the phone but having to spell out my name 5 or so times led to enough frustration that I have given up on that option.

Anybody having issues playing bf4. Did the PB update, game repair ect... but still getting ERROR connection to the server has been lost or game disconnected, your connection to the server timed out. This is happening on random server.

Hi!

After reading most of the 200+ pages of this thread, I am considering moving over to BitCo. I currently have a WebAfrica-managed 4mb ADSL line and I've recently been told that my local exchange is congested. Up until very recently I used to play Battlefield 4 online until I started getting pings of (and I'm not exaggerating!) of 2000ms+. All the gamers take a moment of silence for your brother in the Telkom-zone!

I live in Willow Park Manor and from what I've read that my closest tower would be the CSIR tower at 5.4km away. The question I would seriously like to pose is regarding gaming, latency and packet loss on the BitCo network/wireless connection. I have read posts from guys who were extremely happy and also guys who were completely unsatisfied and unable to play. Is there any way of testing the connection before a final commitment is made? I am sure you will understand that I do not want to go through the 6 weeks' wait, LOS test and soaking period before discovering that I am now completely unable to game.

Does anyone have extensive experience playing BF4 on the BitCo network (apart from No-Rules)? What are the actual in-game pings like? Do you experience rubber-banding? I mostly play on local servers. Does it all depend on the quality of your connection to the tower?

Thanks for the help guys!!

Hi

I only play Battlefield 4 and hardline. There is no packet loss and pings to local servers are between 13 and 15 so excellent for gaming. Haven't had any issues so far. I'm guessing it does depend on Los and if there's any interference with the link.

But overall this is the best Internet iv had so far. Honestly it's better than adsl

Also having issues,

Did all my Apple device updates last night, 2 hours in and i got throttled. I'm on the Trial FUP

You are supposed to get 4 Hours full speed then 4 Hours Throttled then back to Full speed

Looks like my leaky bucket's bottom blew out :wtf:

from 4am till 9am there was hardly any usage as seen in the graph below yet i'm still throttled
