We use much more expensive equipment on our highsites. Those backhauls don't provide enough bandwidth for the number of subscribers per tower unless it is severely contended. :)

I wonder whose high site this is?

Do you guys use airFiber then?

What CPE equipment is used? R4800 is quite steep and I already have 2 unused wifi dishes. 5Ghz nanobridge and 27dbi grid on RB

Hi koeksGHT

It is only R 4300 if you go month to month. If you choose to sign up for 12 months it is only R 800. If you sign up for 24 months it is free installation.

What's your neighbours problem? Just poison the tree then. He's being an inconsiderate drol.

Some people take gardening and landscapes very seriously (I'm one of those people :)). Those same people won't cut down a tree for the sake of Internet. ;) Another installation point will need to be considered that hopefully is viable.

Edit: jokes aside, I would not risk trespassing (or worse charges) for Internet. Just think it through guys...

Maybe we need clarification from Garth on installation points. The only requirement, to my mind at least, is LOS. If one has LOS from another vantage point, why can't it be used?

Jayson, how about some photos to put us in the picture?

i will take one tonight when i get home .. the guy said that because i want to put it on the brick wall and not on the roof is a bit tricky and because you can see the tower clearly between the two trees that it will still give problems so he say .. will take picture tonight guys :)

Garth my ping spikes quite often, especially lately. I'll be playing a game at 200 ping, then there are random spikes to 500, its quite irritating, especially when it happens every 2-3 minutes. Ends up costing a lot in the game..
Any explanation as to why this happens? No one is downloading.
Oliver

Edit:
It's more often than I thought. Sometimes a few seconds apart, then nothing for a while.

Inject some diesel into the main trunk and it will be dead in a month.
