Hi Garth:

My Netflix isn't working anymore, and after some research I have discovered it has to do that Netflix changed the way it looks up your location. It uses Google Look-ups. How can I reroute these look ups on the Tomato router interface?

Mine also working fine. Well it was still working this morning before we left home.

FFS, edit doesn't seem to work...

Also log into Unotelly if you using them and update your IP on their site.

Ran the test Sparky provided and also received this :
'We estimate your uplink as having 1400 ms of buffering. This is quite high, and you may experience substantial disruption to your network performance when performing interactive tasks such as web-surfing while simultaneously conducting large uploads. With such a buffer, real-time applications such as games or audio chat can work quite poorly when conducting large uploads at the same time"

Doesn't look great :(

Perhaps stick to the proven pingtest.net before using this unproven 'netalyzr'?

Pingtest doesn't give an in depth analysis in the way that Netalyzer does. I have been using it for a number of years to assist in fixing connection problems. I'm not saying it is the ultimate in tests, but it is very useful.

So cool to see such a positive thread with so many good reviews of a friggen ISP. Not a common thing in SA.

I had BitCo come do a home base installation right after they launched in Rustenburg in February. I got the 5mb/s option and all I can say is AT LONG EFFING LAST!!!! Real usable internet with no restrictions. A brilliantly fair FUP and awesome BRILLIANT wOndErFuLL Service whenever you push their button (sorry for going fruity but I have to :)

I was kind of missing out because I got no hardware when I joined. I mailed them a few days ago and they are almost ready to come bring me a cisco switch with a wireless access point/router.

Bitco, please keep your service as stellar as I have experienced thus far. I am sure we will have a very long and mutually beneficial future together.

What is it that you need the Upload link for though?

I'm just curious. I know Garth mentioned something about them looking into an option where people might be able to opt in on higher upload speeds. We all stuck on 1Mbps now I think. I have not needed more than that. Given, I think it might have to do with the type of gaming being done. I haven't played WoW in a very long time and was never big on Arena anyway. So my requirement might not be the same as yours. Currently I've taken to PS3 gaming  and have to say, I have had no issues till date. Even with the Netflix being streamed by the wife on the other TV or the Ipad :)

@Garthvs

Any feedback on the upload increase options you guys were looking into? At a sub ofc I suppose. Just would like to know as I do need to upload large files from time to time from home to the office. I use the Business data card for it now. But would be awesome if I had the option with Bitco as well.

So I logged a issue with Bitco last week, Garth put in a lot of effort to help me sort out my issue, which is much appreciated (sadly the fix only lasted a while) but still sitting with the same packet loss issue, happening across all the games I play online... I let Garth know via skype that I'm still having this issue, and I mentioned it a few posts earlier in this thread... Should I log another issue with Bitco Garth? Or is this issue just something I have to start living with? In which case I probably have to get a capped ADSL line to use for my gaming, and let Bitco run only for downloads/General interweb usage, because right now, at least on my connection, Bitco is a very poor solution for online gaming.

Uhm multiple games, RPG/MMO games are still playable with the packet loss, if you playing PVE at least (although a recipe for rage:D) in fps games you're at major disadvantage, try aiming at someone's head, click AND...... NOTHING, next moment, boom you're dead, because on the server you just stood there like an idiot, the click from the client side never registered on the server, thanks to packet loss

Anyway not sure what exactly you were asking:p, but here are games I'm playing (or trying) online

CSGO
Diablo 3
WoW
Path of Exile
Guild wars 2
