BitCo Consumer Review

As promised my full review of Bitco.

Total time taken from application to up and running internet was 3 weeks.

The service given from bitco was excellent. The staff and call centre people are kind and very willing to help. The technicians who came out for the installation were professional and worked neat and tidily. I must say that if Bitco can keep this up then they're looking at a very bright future.

Now for the actual internet...Coming from using 8ta 3g for gaming and streaming, this Bitco link is damn amazing!! it is so consistent every single time. Pings are super low and no packet loss what so ever. Streaming just cruises along with this 5meg. Im very impressed with just how stable it is.

Gaming: I know for some people, they are having problems with the gaming side with regards to high latency and packet loss. I dont have this problem luckily. I have tested Battlefield 4 and Hardline, and pings are consistent at around 41ms in game.Best internet iv ever had.

If anyone is on 3G or ADSL please for your own sake consider Bitco it is how the internet is supposed to be.

Thanks bitco and thanks to everyone on this forum. I have read through every single post considering whether or not to get Bitco and im glad i made the switch.

Will be setting up netflix shortly and will comment on the links performance once im throttled lol:D

Posts like these make me nervous :X I really hope I'm one of the few with proper 0 interference ... This is pretty much the last option as broadband for me as my complex has no telkom infrastructure ....

What area are you staying in?

Hi Senshi,

Thanks for the post & PM i will investigate and revert back to you

Mike

Hi Guys,

I've received feedback from Chantel stating that "Adjustments have been completed on your wireless link and it appears to be running fine and stable now."

I'm busy testing my link now and I'll give some feedback a bit later, however it seems that access to my Seedbox has now been blocked by BitCo.

I also have had no feedback from Jarryd or yourselves as of yesterday.

Is this on a p2p network? If yes, it will only work after 6pm

I'm in the Honeydew area. Anyone in my area will have gaming issues. Don't know about yours though.

Damn, I'm also in Honeydew. Just sent my documents through to BitCo. Hopefully I'll connect to a different tower than you. Are you connecting to the tower there by the corner of Beyers Naude and Northumberland?

Besides gaming, is your connection fine?

whooo

im 99% of the way connecting with bitco. had the guys out yesterday installing the Equipment at my house. now to wait for bitco to complete the soak in testing.

Tbh I don't really want a router, I've got more than enough routers. I just want the connection to be enabled and ip settings or whatever I need to get started.

Guys with regards to gaming on Bitco.

Ive had the Bitco connection running for just over a month and as an avid gamer and i've had no issues what so ever.
From reading all the threads with regards to gaming........ installation, locale, interference and the type of games you play, all play a part as to how your game and connection behaves.

For eg. Im 600m away from the tower with clear line of site and im receiving a signal strength of -50dbm, consistently, which i would classify as a ideal installation.
These are the following online games i've played with no issues what so ever:- Forza 5, Battlefield 4, COD Advance Warefare, Far Cry 4, Destiny and the list goes on, I then tried playing CSGO and as per the other forum members I had issues from the beginning...... lag, rubber banding and packet loss. So before you knock the Bitco Service please give a thought to the game you are playing and possible the **** servers that are servicing those games, on the flip side of the coin, not everybody will have an ideal installation and you need to be forthcoming with Bitco and Bitco ditto, with regards to how you are going to be using the service and whether Bitco's service is going to accommodate your needs.

Transparency from both parties is crucial.

So before you proceed with the installation or service, ask the right questions and the most important question i would recommend you ask would be, what is my -dbm signal strength?

As i mentioned before, ive had the service running for just over a month and ive stressed tested this connection to its max and all I can say is...............................

Best bloody ISP i've ever had!!!!!

PM Mike or Garth.

Sure they'll help you set up a router if you have one in the mean time. They are very accommodating :)

The better the signal strength the better the service, you need to work towards -50dbm which is the max, 60-dbm / -75dbm is still acceptable but there must not be any interference or encroachment on the fresnel zone.
