How do you think anyone should know the exact lowest point? Now would be a good time as it has dropped quite a lot. This is EXACTLY why I am asking.... Pondering what the buy amount should be!
Global economic crash is looming. Who knows what's going to happen.Anybody with a good guess how low this dump can go? 20/30/40%

You can always average in, eg, if you have R10k, put buy orders like 1k now(45k ish level), 2k at 42, 3k at 36, 5k at 30... that way if it goes up, you have something cheaper, but if it dumps more, you get more the lower it goes so although you didn't get it all at lowest, your average will be lower than the maximum you paidThis is EXACTLY why I am asking.... If I knew that answer I would bond my whole house and put all of it into bitcoin. As far as I am concerned, that, was not my question!
Maybe you should skip trading bitcoin or at least to a trading 101 course. If any trader knew that answer we would not be working full time. Read up on some terms such as support and resistance levels and that may give you the answers you are looking for.........the key word is may. This is EXACTLY why I am asking.... Then you should be goodPS: no trading involved, only holding long term.
Or let things cool off. Wait for some sideways movement and then open a trade. That at least allows you to define a decent stop-loss on the downside, assuming you're trading and wanting to mitigate losses. Long candles are a kak place to trade. How do you think anyone should know the exact lowest point? Now would be a good time as it has dropped quite a lot.

I don't trade, I'm a hodler. My personal view is when I see a big drop like this morning I buy some more, I bought some more today when it was 46k-ishOr wait for things to cool off. I bought at 730k a while back, was ulululating when it reached 880k, now I'm meh that its back to where I started. Also holding. If it drops lower, I'll probably transfer more money to luno and accumulate some more.1. Guess, not know...
2. Guestimate, not exactly...
And yes, I have seen supports and resistance and hence my question, because surely there is a lot of guys here doing it longer than I am and that has more information on the subject than the limited amount I have. But anyways, lets move along...
Thanks for the informative responses.
