Anybody day-trading in Crypto? How practical is it?
I'm keen to start, busy exploring/researching, so please keep us updated.
My current thinking is to use Binance and to hold some BNB to get the fee cost reduction.

I don't think it's worth the hassle for smaller trades. You trade $2000 you're paying R2 in fees (standard 0.1%).

Good luck! I am still familiarizing myself with all the terms, methods and patterns.

How come?

At a private equity firm so loads of restriction & rules & red tape that make trading stocks impossible. No shorts, no derivatives, no rapid buy/sell, everything tracked, everything pre-approved, can't trade too often etc.

When would you get back into this?
Probably not at all unless it crashes. Doing alts instead

Trade under a friends name or account?

Yeah, alts make so much more sense for trading. Especially altcoin/btc trading pairs in a bull market...the profit from the alt/btc trading pair increases your bitcoin holdings, and the value of your bitcoin holdings goes up as bitcoin/usd goes up.

You don't think it's going to 100000?
Eventually maybe. I just think with the current wave of enthusiasm for crypto fast moving alts are a better risk/reward than BTC for the next couple months. i.e. Not really meant as being negative re BTC.

(until it inevitable crashes in which case the alts will get slaughtered and btc will probably be ok)

The problem is we have no idea when the market cycle top is coming, and as soon as BTC dumps altcoins will go to hell . The newer, more speculative alts with higher risk/reward will be hit hardest.

It's safest to move trading profits into BTC and Ethereum if you aren't cashing out completely. From past cycles ethereum tends to peak after BTC tops out.

Valr just decreased their fees including the maker fee from 0.1% to 0.01%. That's so small they might as well keep it. It's only going to mess with my finances now.
