hello MyBroadband

i started to Encrypt my Perfectly 100% Healthy Drive Yesterday i think the Computer was switched off By my Relative in the house. so now When i unlock the Drive it just freezes the PC and i cant turn off Bitlocker it got to 80.3% and i switched off my desktop switched it back on but my hard drive was probably at over 40 Percent when it was switched off maybe by a power cut. I AM USING WINDOWS TEN PRO Insider Preview Latest Build 17074 64Bit

is there anyway to Switch off bitlocker ?? for a certain drive when it reached over 40 Percent less than 50 percent. Recommend what i must do to Switch off the encryption i have the password and the Recovery key for the drive.

i have used Bitlocker on the one Drive before it never Froze, i think its a bug in the Windows Ten insider preview Build 17074. i read someones trick on Answers.Microsoft.com is there any way i can switch off Bitlocker when i try to unlock the drive in normal mode on windows it freezes the window.

Nope.

Start again from scratch with a clean install after a disk format.

Then restore your backups.

i have got 4 Drives that work properly. what must i do with Drive E
must i re-install Windows on Drive C ?? i have a Setup disk for Windows Ten insider preview 15063 64bit

Why is I in lower case and the rest in upper case? I think your keyboard also broke during the encryption process.

If your the encryption process was interrupted by a power failure and you're unable to boot into Windows now, follow post #2.

Your second post doesn't make any sense.

Arthur says he must reinstall Windows, when the problem is with a non-Windows-main-partition drive.

Nardeth, is the issue that you want data that is on the drive?

Fair point. I just assumed it was his system drive that had a duff Bitlocker. My bad half-read between SA wickets tumbling.

I doubt it's a buggy Windows Preview, though.

Yes, and I could understand his second post, so I explained it in understandable English, since you need an interpreter for the OP obviously...
Thank you, much appreciated.

Sorry for not understanding you OP.

The Whole PC Freezes at the BIOS Screen when i plug in the drive with the Power cable and SATA cable. its making a Weird noise the one drive. its a 465 GB SATA Drive

Is "the one drive" the one that didn't complete encryption or another one? I wouldn't bother encrypting a drive with just games on...

yes its Got other stuff than just games. yes it is the one that did not complete encryption. what can i do now it wont show up on my computer window. it freezes the whole BIOS Screen at bootup

The physical drive should not be damaged. Your data on the other hand is probably lost forever. In theory you could brute force a recovery of the data as you know the password for the encryption, and you should know the encryption/decryption algorithm (except as this is proprietary software, you probably do not know which exact algorithm was used).
