Its prolly a kind of revenge... I can see it now, they answer the phone and ask your name, You say "mark" or "bob" and in a split second he thinks, "watch me make this mofo spell his name!". and he replies can you spell that for me sir, holding back an uncontrolable giglle.... hehehehehe... Jee... I wish I could answer that...but it's kind of hard to accurately port this concept to another language or culture. But, I guess a name like that could be given to a child in an indirect reference to a witch that has bewitched the family whilst pretending to be a close family friend.
