Nobody here has said it doesn't happen in the black community - we are arguing that the majority of black people do not believe in this, and it is mostly attributed to religion and superstition. Anywhere in the world where people are superstitious, they do terrible things. This fixation on "black people" and "rape culture"(still waiting for which culture this is) is just revealing that people don't see them as equal members of the community

No it isn't. Face the facts here and stop sweeping them under the carpet. Nobody claimed that the majority of black people believe it so you are simply arguing a non issue. What we are saying is that this is occurring among black people. Yes it is superstition but it's superstition in black culture. It isn't just happening in the black community but also from what I can tell exclusively in the black community. That is the part you are unwilling to face.

It also doesn't say those people were Whites, but let's assume they were. Nobody denies that there are White perverts, especially homosexual ones (the article mentions: "Boylover.net - which was operated from The Netherlands - promoted sexual relationships between adults and young boys."), even those that may rape toddlers. It's just a point of frequency. And I see no evidence that they do so, because they believe it will cure AIDS.

First off, this IS THE PROBLEM. it's not a "cultural belief" or everyone would be doing it. it's predominant in black communities, nobody is denying that. africa lacks education to a serious degree, so uneducated people will believe almost anything a person in authority tells them, and in this case, the person in authority happens to be a sangoma.

it's not part of religion to rape little kids, but religion, like the sangomas, create the breeding grounds for this. the catholic church has protected pedophile priests, people hand their kids over to priests hoping that they'll become alter boys and some of them end up being abused because of this.

no situation is the same, and once again this is as stupid as saying "where is the black sweden/germany/norway", because circumstances are unique.

why is it when a muslim man rapes an 8 year old that he married, it's the religion's fault?
why is it when a catholic priest molests little boys, it's the religion's fault?
why is it when a man sleeps with teenagers to cure them of their homosexuaity, it's the religions fault?
yet when a superstitious black man tells superstitious people to rape children because of some magical powers, it's the black community? :rolleyes:

From the start is was blamed on culture, I think it is because there is no clear lines to which religion traditional healers/sangomas belong and who visits them. Yes it is 99% black people. But from which religion? Lines are so blurred in black culture with religion and culture its kinda made up as they go with the cornerstone in tradition.

Still not acknowledging the point. Again nobody claimed it's the black community in general. It's IN the black community. Not in the Indian, Chinese, Porra, Irish or white community. Claiming it's just people doing it is sidestepping the issue. The problem isn't just one of education. Zuma is educated enough to know that washing in the shower won't prevent aids yet he believes it not because there's a magical glow to someone in an animal skin but because his tradition holds that it's a person of authority.

The point? This is not about body parts but raping young children/babies to cure aids. Traditional medicine perhaps but not muti.
