Black rape furore

What conspiracy theory? Thingyyyy mentioned a couple of pages ago that the reason why you never see this brought to trial is because of the defense lawyers.
Well, that's what a conspiracy theory is: Claiming there is no evidence, because the conspirators did hide all the evidence. Actually it's a pretty classic example, far better then 9/11 truthers, etc.

Really? :D

I think your ship of right is losing the fight against the sea of wrong on this one, Fudzy. I'd start manning the lifeboats if I were you. :p

Oh Flanders, playing the man again are we? It would have been ironic if Lulu was the one trying to push charges against this lady.

In my reference, it's ironic that the same racist protectors are outraged by racist offenders of different colour.

Well I have my suspicions but the alternative means that there really aren't as many 'AIDs curing' rapes as everyone thinks. One is too many IMO, not sure why people lust over higher stats.

Playing the man? OK mate...if you say so.

Just to clear up this side issue: in my reference it's ironic that this Lulu character can get away with saying what she did and that it's somehow more above board than what the white lady said who must now be charged with hate speech.

Thing is that now you're seriously scraping at the bottom of the barrel on this AIDS baby rape thing. Claiming that white people may be practising the "AIDS cure" too but that it's being suppressed? LOL. Come on. :) That's like saying that fish swim in water but some fish may swim on land and until conclusive proof comes along that no fish swim on land, we must assume that some fish do swim on land.

You should ask that feminists that claim far higher figures. But after all, in the case of South Africa, they may have a point:
http://www.theguardian.com/world/2010/nov/25/south-african-rape-survey

BTW. even the best defense lawyers can cover up charges brought against you.

Yup - doesn't that count ?

Well we're talking about South Africa here but seeing as the lady in the OP was making a blanket statement about blacks, I guess it's valid. Don't seem to be any local ones though.

Let's just get the semantics out of the way here.

Not all child rapists are black but child rapists with the intent of curing AIDS? Yes. If you can find an example stating otherwise, then we can review. Surely this makes sense?

And surely you can see how this principle highlights the difference in Lulu's statements since whatever truth there may be to what she's saying, she is generalising hugely: "Young Afrikaner men are brought up in the Calvinist religion believing that they own a woman, they own a child, they own everything and therefore they can take that life because they own it."

You just need to have basic reading skills in Afrikaans to read Praag. It was Piet Croucamp that snitched on her. And here is what Dr Louise Mabille actually said:

A good question, why is baby rape to cure AIDS a cultural phenomen among Black population groups. Or how many Whites, Indian or Coloured people that ever rape a baby/virgin to cure AIDS?

i'm waiting for you, and for other people in this thread, over and over after repeating myself 4 times, WHICH culture is that?

if i say it's white culture to gather inside a building and to sing to an invisible man that grants their wishes, is it factually correct or not?

how many black people are not part of this pedophile ring that was discovered? the lack of black individuals must make me think this is part of white culture to sexually molest kids and get sexual enjoyment out of it

you must also understand that i don't give two fanny farts about this author, i read that Piet Croucamp that "snitched" on her hate speech was the final straw after people brought it to her attention. not even her peers condemned her, which just goes to shows that you can't take the stupid out of anyone, even with a university degree

To add to that, only a very small percentage of those black rapists appear to use AIDs as a motive. As has been discovered in research on the matter (of infant/minor rapes that is)

we bitched on Lulu too didn't we? generalisations at the end of the day, when they know nothing about the individual or how much they harm them, are wrong.

that is like saying not all afrikaners are racist but all white wing groups that are racist in south africa are afrikaners - i can draw the same conclusions. you're limiting the field

Agreed.

Disagree. That is generalising.

Not all child rapists are black however all child rapists with the intent of curing AIDS are black. That is a fact...until proven otherwise! An inconvenient one, yes.

It's exactly the same as saying that in WW2 Germany, not all whites were Nazis although all Nazis were white.

it's a symptom however, many black people think that people turn into snakes, that an ugly man will hop onto your bed and that witches fly on brooms - it's superstitions, but it differs from group to group. people still retain their culture when they convert to christianity or get an education, which is why i'm still asking - which culture is it?

I relinquished the culture argument many pages back. I stated that I think it is more of a superstitious dogma. A fine line separating the two however I'd say that a culture tends to involve all in a given group while superstition or religion does not.

absolutely, but others haven't moved past this yet. the reason it is seen as racist is because it's not seen attacking stupid beliefs, it's attacking people's identity, and if you say someone's core identity is to harm their own kids, it's hard to not get angry

Do Africans really believe in this BS or do they just use it as an excuse? And why is the whistle blower racist? WTF It looks like some people only like the "nice" news.
Many do. Not all who do act on it though or we'll have an epidemic. Though according to some here that is just generalising.

On the contrary. This is publicity. Gotta love that free speech is only applicable when it's convenient. In a court you first have to proof that a statement is hateful, that is subjective, and that it is not factual. The stats show it is factual and a court case or even these charges just exposes the double standard.

No she wasn't. Her question was in reference to a cultural phenomenon among the Black population groups in South Africa. Haven't you read her original text?

There is no good reason to think that this belief and practice did not persist from 10 years ago. Otherwise we can be certain that ANC-officials will trumpet out the decline. You just don't hear about this that much anymore in the media.

The decoded speech:

"why the rape of babies is a cultural phenomenon among black ethnic groups."

What did the afrikaans version say?

There could be many, unfortunately the defense lawyers cover this up.

Oh wake up. The defence lawyer does not prepare the police case with the details, the defence lawyer does not file the charge sheet specifying the alleged crimes. So this thing about lawyers covering up the details of the alleged crimes is BS. These things usually get reported on before they even go to trial as the details are in the charge sheet.

Sigh, I've explained this before. Go read thingggy's post, he is the one insisting that it's the lawyers covering up this travesty.
