Blackberry Bold Tips/Tricks/Apps Thread

mine reads PDF files perfectly, and i didnt install anything.

PDF's only work from e-mails. You can always send yourself an e-mail with the pdf to read it. The only option is to pay for the full version of the office software. Another less flexible, but free option is to use mobipocket reader, but this requires that you have access to a PC to convert the pdf (the PC app will convert many kinds of files to mobipocket files which you can read on your Blackberry).

For those who haven't noticed, our BIS service has finally been updated. You now have a neat application for e-mail settings (which allows you to change your signature) and a peculiar application centre that tells you if some of your apps have been updated. Do a battery pull if you don't have these options yet.

I've just got a MTN icon. When I did the battery pull initially it broke my SMS functionality. Had to reload the software :(
Everything seems okay after i reloaded everything

Does anyone know how to get facebook to put all your friends bdays in the calendar and not just thr ones one your phonebook?

Thanks

Hi all,

Would you guys recommend going for a Bold now (I can upgrade as of end of July) or waiting for the Onyx to come out? How long after it is released in the UK do we a get a BlackBerry?

The Bold is getting kind of old... :) Then again, it is still better than my 8100!

What I've done is installed an application called Birthday Calendar on FB. The app loads everyone's birthday into a calendar format and allows you to export it to a CSV file for Outlook import. I then sync my phone's calendar with Outlook's calendar.
That's how I do it...

I can say that the bold experience is quite good for me, but I do not know enough of the onyx to compare them.

I can say that I prefer the bold over the storm though, but that might just be me.
