Hello,

Perhaps some of you are also experiencing this problem.

Since yesterday I had 3 of our users report the exact same problem. Their Blackberry Bold 9900 handsets are restarting randomly. Switching of data resolves the problem, but we need it for email access.

All 3 of them are on MTN in the Samrand area.

Samething in Pinetown Durban. It's a ballsup on MTN's side, happened 2-3 years ago as well. Try this, turn off or remove your sim, if the phone stops rebooting, you know it's the towers.

Thanks but switching off data alone resolves the problem. So I'm guessing it's data related, but tower side.

I tried explaining this to MTN, but the consultant didn't understand any of this.

MTN signals are getting worse, voice but mainly data. Signals keep dropping.

And what... you surprised by this?

Well yes and no. I'm used to the consultants not being able to help with much other than general queries. But I did phone the corporate helpline. One would expect corporate class support.
