BlackBerry Internet Service problems (10 October 2011)

i think apple or google has hacked the bb server and put a virus on it.....

I agree. My money on apple(bb haters).

Btw, howcome I haven't had any issues expect bbm. Most of my bbm contacts are vodacant and mtn. I'm on cell c.

The fact that no one saw this coming is worrying. Have you ever thought about how this all works together? Can you imagine how insane it would be if every blooming phone maker had to put down their own servers on every blooming network? Imagine if all four networks in SA had to have servers for BB, HTC, Apple, Nokia, Samsung, LG, Motorola.... and the rest? Its a nightmare!!

So then ask yourself, if everyone else makes do with standards, why do I support a company that cannot opperate on these standards? Why am I buying a device that is so backwards and so retarded that the vendor needs to put special [-]disability ramps[/-] servers on every network just for the device to work?

I mean really, have you people never though of it like that? Never got even the faintest clue that something is not right with this setup that BlackBerry is using?

Hmmm never thought of that, i guess i am too busy raping my uncapped account and i also wonder why giants like nokia and apple don't have their own networks. It is backward and retarded that a smaller company can do it but the large guys don't have the means to pull it off.

Sad really.

It's still down. This is the third day that I am not able to use my BB other than phone and sms. No browsing, no emails, no streaming, no apps that needs internet connectivity, nada :-(

You better rush off and get a droid or iphone before it's too late.

I can see you did not think about it for one moment. If you did you would realise that if every other mobile maker, especially the giants you refer to, did the same then the networks would loose a massive stream of revenue. If you could bring yourself to think that far you would see that the business model is flawed as soon as the user base becomes too big.

Either it needs to change and everyone should be offered an uncapped connection, in which case blackberry is stuffed. Alternatively blackberry needs to make their services work on normal internet like all other makers does, in which case blackberry is stuffed.

Basically if it gets to big they are history.
