I am not sure if this is the right place to put this...

A few websites at my worked are blocked by "Astro Internet security" It says that the URL is blocked.

Is there any software you can use to go around this? Or any other way to reach the site?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Can they only see that you are using www.radius.ws, or can they see what you are surfing on it?

They might be able to if they were to investigate every URL that you visited. For example this is the URL I just received after using that website to open YouTube. If the blocking process is automated then chances are that they will not be able to identify the website (though it's not certain).

Thanks man, gave it a try and it works, but it is painfully slow.... any reason why it would be like that? I am using Chrome at the moment

It might be a bit slower through the proxy, but not painfully slow, no.

It works flawlessly with Firefox but I haven't tried Chrome so I can't really comment on that.

Hasn't tried Chrome??? What have you done with the REAL WKJ?:beanie??

Go chat to the IT admin(s) at your work, and find out why the site was blocked. Rather try to make friends with them, and they may unblock the site(s) or at least organise you a bypass. I am an admin myself, and I will listen to someone if they come talk to me.

By using a proxy just like that and purposely trying to bypass a filter, it can make admins get strict on you, and turn them into BOFH's who will make you unhappy.

Also, like Techie said, it can be a major offence if you are caught bypassing a proxy. Your job isn't worth it.

Thanks Ash, but we dont have an IT department or admins.... Um our company consists of 5 people... and I think my boss is very funny about you doing other things but working during work time haha

I think it was automatically blocked because it was running in the back round while I worked.... Can you pick up that a web page is open, or only when it is downloading?

at my previous company i used a prog called ghost surf, although you have to install it, it worked like a bomb

Thanks wizdumb, is there a free equivalent to ghost surf???
