Blood Pressure...

I have been put on 5 MG of Amloc

For Uric Acid and Cholesterol, he says he gives me a month to lose 10 kg, then I won't have to take any medicine. So gave a diet plan with instruction to take 10 000 steps daily.

I am 93 Kg, and height is 1.68. So he recons if I lose weight, everything will sort itself out

Oh wow ok. According to BMI you’re obese, so that’s a good step (excuse the pun).

ja sorry buddy you're very over weight..

1) no fast food or restaurant food at all!
2) no oil in your foods, literally ONLY extra virgin olive oil
3) no cereal rubbish
4) if you want to snack, just make some popcorn (not microwave!) little salt...little oil...
5) lots of water 24/7 (don't drown yourself)
6) last meal of the day, as early as humanly possible...
7) first meal of the day, as late as humanly possible...
8) limit your carbs to the minimum
9) do NOT exercise too hard, don't stress your ticker out until it's ready
10) the above... just walk around the block every day or every other day
11) no sugar

12) everything is tough at the start, it does get a lot easier

The use hydrogenated oil, which is terrible for your body...
Do you mean the flavoured ones? We use the WW Butterfly Popcorn, which only lists Butterfly Popcorn in the ingredients, and get much better results than the other brands of plain and admittedly cheaper popcorn. We make it in one of those glass teapots with a vented plastic lid, without any extra oil (or salt added afterwards, unless anyone wants and then they can add it to their portion). WW doesn't list microwaving in the cooking instructions, but it works for us.

no that's normal popcorn which is fine, the popcorn you want to stay away from is the microwave popcorn / the ones in the packets you pop in the microwave

6) No more doom and gloom, don't even watch the news or read anything that will stress you out, you need to calm your mind, just chill in the garden, play with the dogs and relax. Stressing is a killer.
If watching/reading news is bad, what about watching comedy, interesting movies?

Trying to get the courage to delete MR Uber and Ubereats

depends on what's more important... death or Ubereats

it doesn't have to be forever, this is a few months of your life which will change your life completely. And if you have kids and don't do this, then I'd gladly hit you with a dumbass stick because they're going to grow up without a dad...

So today is exactly 4 weeks since the revolution started in my life:

  • I regret not started earlier
  • I feel much better
Over these four weeks, I:

  • Walked 280 000 steps (11 000 a day according to Samsung Health, deducted 1000 for its inaccuracies)
  • Started intermittent fasting (16/8)
  • Took my 5 mg of Amloc each morning
  • Switched to reverse osmosis filtered water
  • Cut out sugar, carbs and processed food.
  • Breakfast is 10:45 am, and it is 3 boiled eggs with lettuce and a grean smoothie.
  • Nothing till 18:30, and have some lentins or lean meat
  • Read a lot on diet, processed food
  • Had 6 cheat sessions (pies and samosas, avacado with milk and sugar, tea and cupcake, one day erroneously put too much salt on eggs)
Thus far:

  • I loss 9 kg (I understand that a lot is water weight, so will work harder next month and hope for 6 kg)
  • Over the last two weeks, have a consistent highblood of: 120 – 130 / 80 – 10

Did you cut out alcohol if you do drink?

Did you cut out alcohol if you do drink?
Fortunately, I didn't take alcohol before, so did nit have to cut that out.

But my diet is drastically changed, with just the eggs, lentils and lean meat. And I eat fruit for fiber.

"Cut out sugar, carbs and processed food."

That is always a difficult one for me. I get major headaches if i cut-out sugar, carbs or coffee. The moment I have a nice sweet coffee all the headache goes away.

Sometimes when I've had to drop a bit of weight, I tried Atkins/Keto but its a two-edges sword. Weight literally falls off - but then i get a monster gout attack, and i'm hardly having red meat.

have you ever pushed through those initial withdrawal symptoms?

I’m one to preach because I still consume all of those. I guess first step would be to pick which ONE of those to cut out. I did gluten once, due to gut issues, and almost lost my mind after 3 days. A couple weeks later I could already feel the difference. The problem was how to fill the gap left by it, and I eventually ran out of options, relapsed, and now have to start all over again because I went to a birthday party, they had REAL cake, and oh my God it just tasted SO good. Gluten just completely changes the texture and flavour of everything.

Exercise helped with sugar once: I simply no longer felt the physical need for it once I was working out regularly, and found regular tap water sufficient as a drink and my previous (current, again) favourite, Coke, simply didn’t enter my mind.

Step-by-step is the way to go.
