Blood Pressure...

Been measuring in evening as well and it is substantially lower than morning for last 4 days. I take pill early in the morning and 2 hours after pill, it is about 112-115 and 72-78 but before sleep, it is dropping to 105-108 and 63-67

Taking half a pill on doctor's advice for a week or so.
I have been taking my meds at night, some new thought processes, is it has an improved effec,t as your BP drops at night naturally so your heart gets a greater rest.

Been working for me.

Yeah, I did try taking meds in the night for 2-3 months but it really didn't make any difference. I guess everyone and circumstances are different.

121/84 :- 2 hours after the meds. I have seen better in last month but hey, I have no idea how this works.

Learned the expensive way that the cuff they use to monitor on the electronic machinery need to be specific for your arm size.
Went to Dischem to unlock some discovery point thingy. sugar, cholesterol and blood pressure, along with height and weight.
First run i was 180/110. crap. then she tells me machine is finicky, sit still. Went down to 160 over 95. Still high, test my 15 year old son as well, 100 over 60 odd. Same cuff.

Monday I was at neighbours and they bragged about this little machine that works on the wrist. Bam 180/120 with this one.

Yesterday to the doctor to try and avert imminent stroke/ heart attack/ explosion that is coming. and it is 130 /85.
Tested with electronic machine, and it is 165/95. The cuff has a arm diameter rating. Switched it out for my size arm. 130/ 85. Tested both arm, tested both cuffs he used for his manual method and electronic. Had six readings of 130/85. Good to go.

You mean standard BP monitor or is that some fancy machine in Dischem ?
No you can read up on reviews on BP monitors. There definitely is different cuff sizes. Not as many as your shirts and pants, but usually at least 2-3 sizes. Imagine, small or standard or large arm size. So 1 for kids, one of most people, and one for people with large upper arms. Generally however I haven't seen the small, only the standard and large arm sizes.

yeah so then I am not sure what you asking originally. But yeah that one would fit.
I wanted to know which BP monitor did you use at dischem that didn't have such adjustment since I haven't seen any without such adjustment. That is why I thought it might have been some new & fancy ones at dischem.

I came here to post about the same thing.
What must I tell them, how to test correctly.

Top left, you see 22 to 42 cm. my arms are 52 cm. So this cuff is too small. Does not exert the right pressure all over arm. So pressure inside the cuff is say 180, but the blood start coming through, because you only tight around part of the bicep. The cuff is not just for circumference, it is also for the length. The next cuff size from 43 onwards is a lot wider than your cuff displayed above.

measure your circumference. they must switch out the cuff for the right size one. most people fit the standard cuff, just us big lads that has an issue.

I am very confused. Your upper arm is 52cm ?

Wow - upper arm circumference as 52cm is insane. Do you lift rhinos with your biceps ?
not really hey. Was surprised when he told me. But keep in mind I am 1.96m and 145 kilos now. Train 4 days a week Rugby. Bound to show somewhere:)
