Blow to Andre de Ruyter

To be fair to him, the OEM thing was his doing.
The plan focused on accelerating and executing planned maintenance. However, it differed from the planned maintenance under De Ruyter as it used equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

Lol, cause appointing a new leader can immediately change how reliable power stations are. Zero lag there of course.

How stupid can people be? Changing the institution and catching up on the maintenance backlog was an exercise of years. So much momentum to change around and it required herculean effort from De Ruyter to get it as far over as he did and now they try give the credit to the guy who inherited his work? Idiots. Changing the culture of an organization as well as its entire maintenance strategy. Well done again De Ruyter. Also Kudo's to the new leader for sticking with what he implemented and so re-enforcing the move. Eskom is a huge ship with a small rudder and takes strong leadership to stay the course and get it back on course. Still probably too little too late but hey, they gotta do the best with what they where handed post the damage of the ANC years and in particular the Zuma years.

Blow to Andre de Ruyter

The latest Eskom performance data is a blow to Andre de Ruyter and his performance as chief executive at the power utility.
I disagree because plans don't create immediate results and we are only seeing the fruits of his ideas and planning coming through now.

Info from a trusted source:-
Why no mention anywhere of the 300+- "ex Eskom guys that were called back to assist with the system. No one mentions this because they were white ex employees that kept Eskom running but when the anc took over they were gone until they were secretly brought back to assist and were paid by business to keep it hush and not to let anyone know it was the Non-BEE savors that brought back electricity.

Gosh i mean if you didn't understand the narrative yet you either can't read or think...

Andre was put in Eskom as a token for "look even they can't fix it". Employees had ZERO initiative to work under him, driven by internal politics that he should be kicked out from the word go.

Government did nothing to help him during his term because their reason for putting him there was never to turn Eskom around, it was to prove a point they set up. If anything they probably sabotaged every move they could without making it obvious.

its quite simple.

I didn't necessarily agree with everything he did while at Nampak but Nampak's issues started long before De Ruyter was CEO, much like Eskom.
Ssssh things always break and get fixed the second a new CEO comes on, same as president's..
