I finally got my hands on a 3D movie made in Blender 3D, but the download is a blu-ray iso. Now, deamon tools opens it up, but nothing I have will play it. :(
Microsoft says that they may not legally add that feature to Windows Media Player and VLC doesn't have it either.

Are there any free players available? My Google skills turned up nothing.

My mede8ter will play it ;)
AFAIK you mount it in windows using deamon tools like you have. You tried PowerDVD?
* Vlc should work as well, a friend just confirmed.

Download Winrar & open the ISO with that to see whats inside. Then extract the contents & try VLC on those.

If its a DIY blender project then chance are it doesn't have bluray encryption...which is what MS is whining about.

VLC will not open the Blu-Ray by default, but it will play individual mt2s files. So search for the largest file, and open that with VLC.
Other that hat there is no freeware available that will play Blu-Ray movies.
Your only other option is to buy Arcsoft movies studio, or Cyberlink dvd studio. These are the only media player i know of that will play Blu-Ray movies natively.
If you don't have a concience, both these are available through some alternative cannels.

I've mounted it in daemon, and VLC gives an error... if I can find the log, I'd say what it was.
Never the less, The winrar thing did the trick. I extracted it and found the main clip in the STREAM folder. Media Player plays that just fine. :)

Thanks guys

How much are blu-ray drives and writable disks these days? Still ridiculously expensive or has it become feasible to actually write to blu-ray?

About R900 for the blu ray drives. Still expensive according to me. Cheaper to get a media player.
