Bluetooth speaker advice - gift for techy boyfriend

Just wanted to say thanks to you all for contributing to this thread. Turns out the speaker was for me and OP was a friend of my daughter's looking for advice.

I got my shiny new JBL on Xmas day and the 10 year old Samsung speaker has officially been retired...

For what it's worth , The JBL feckin rocks.... Taking it camping next week.
 
Agree with the jbl, but if its a suprise you want to give him on his birthday then make it a n a l

For the love of toast don't take a Bluetooth speaker to a camp being shared with others... nothing spoils a weekend in the outdoors listening to other people's choice of "lekka tunes". Have a jol at home sure but keep your tunes to yourself in situations where you share facilities with strangers.
