Hi all,

We are planning on plumbing our borehole into our house with a tank and filters. The installer quoted on a tesk pump. I wanted to check how good it is?

Some people I know have installed DAB and say its great. How do the two compare?

The 1.1kW tesk is the same price as the 0.75kw DAB. So one option is getting the smaller DAB

If you're going to get a 60-litre or larger pressure-tank, at standard pump is perfect.
If you don't want a pressure-tank, your only option is a DAB/VSD pump.

You can also retrofit a standard pump with a VSD controller but the cost eventually adds up to just buying one which already has the controller.
Unless you import a VSD controller directly from China.

Pump from JoJo worked nicely for me. JoJo support is what made the difference. Something fried inside and was outside guarantee. Jojo rep fixed for free.

I have a 0.75kw Jojo branded pump from Builders.

Does the job nicely feeding water to the house from a 5000l tank. Water is pushed through 2 filters and the pressure is good.

My preference would be a DAB, spend that little extra if you are able to. Both are VSD's but the quality of DAB is really good. When I did some research a while ago, was told that Italian pumps are in general good. I am not overly familiar with TESK, seems to be Chinese.

In terms of sizing the 0.75kw are sufficient for most households. However, if you intend opening more than a few taps/showers at the same time, coupled with irrigation etc than the 1.1kw would be better.

In any event stick with a VSD type pump
