I want to write a bootable DVD!

I have Nero 7 Essentials(Bundled with my writer)

Anybody have a step by step guide on how to write this bootable DVD?

I bought Windows Vista Ultimate(flipping R3500 bucks) and want to back it up!

part of the fun is to discover what the entire website can offer - but if you want a direct link then there you go

I'd just make an image of the DVD with Alcohol 120% and write it from the image, making it bootable automatically... But that's just me :D

ok, I finally found a working nero that writes bootable DVD's but when I try to load the image it says "File larger than 2GB can't be used to make bootable disc" or something like that?

What do I do?

files equal to or greater than 2gb requires that you write a cd in UDF mode.

make a 1:1 copy of the disc using nero (disc copy) with whatever version...don't copy the disc content to drive and then into project as you most likely are gonna throw away the boot function.

Do you want to copy an existing DVD?

Download DVD-Decrypter, somewhere in the settings : ISO-Read, which will make an Image.

Then set it to ISO-write, and write the ISO you just created to DVD.

is Nero preventing you from doing what oupa has said?

ah the days of diskcopy a: b:
