Bosch series 2 dishwasher issue

I bought the abovementioned machine new in 2018 I think and it has never skipped a beat. Since yesterday Ive been experiencing an issue with the machine.

I can select any of the cycles, it will start, deploy the tablet and carry on with its cycle.

As soon as the first cycle or whatever is done the light in the picture below flashes, when I open the door there is no heat inside and everything is not clean. I then close the door but the cycle doesn't continue. If I switch the machine off and then on again its right at the start again where I should select the cycle to begin.

I have unplugged it for a good while but its still happening.

Anyone have an idea what is going on or how to resolve this?

Check out this link, save and look at page 27 https://media3.bosch-home.com/Documents/9000769887_L.pdf

Check the waste water impeller for obstructions.

EDIT: Use gloves! I had bits of a wine glass stuck in there once, pretty nasty cuts.

Same model
Few weeks ago thing didn't want to start. All I heard a was click click and then nothing like there's a motor blockage.

Took a chance and replaced the drain pump and viola all back to normal. Only schlep is that you have to remove the door cover to gain access at the bottom.

The drain pump has to spin before it allows the the inlet valve to release water into the machine to avoid flooding the unit.

Where did you buy the drain pump from?

So cleaned all the filters, checked pipes etc and it still happens. Im not sure its the pump as theres no water inside when the light starts flashings, apart from first cycle of water drops left on the plates etc.

Will give custom care a call later.

when you remove the pipe, switch it on, does water come out the pipe?

There is normally a push in filter where the pipe connects, look inside the hole.

Customer care is brilliant when they sorted out our new dishwasher two years ago during lockdown.

In my case it was me and a mistake I've been making before (we have two dishwashers):

Check that your salt cap is properly screwed on and make sure you did not overfill the container with salt. I've always just emptied a bag until I see it is full instead of measuring out. The cap also regulates the water pressure so a loose cap will cause safety features to kick in.

The best is to remove all the salt (use a vacuum cleaner if you can). On Series 6 we get an error code that nobody on the internet can answer - turns out it is the salt container issue. Techies were very polite and said this is one of the most common problems they fix.

No charge.

Thanks, will have a look a bit later and revert. Seriously been spoiled with dishwasher and not in the mood to do the dishes by hand.

didnt you buy the backup alternate unit by getting married?

Do you have those small tap filters/strainers aka flow restrictors installed? They are normally installed in the tap outlet and get clogged.
