Hi Guys,

I've always wondered about these mysterious boxes and dongles that some folks have access to and use to bypass FRPs (amongst other capabilities) of most Android devices for namely; Miracle, Infinity, Octopus, Volcano, NCK, Z3X etc.
I'm curious if whether it's possible to emulate/create a virtual device that mimics this such hardware? If so, what would be the most plausible/basic approach towards such a project? Like, in a nutshell...

These software/hardware things use what is known as vulnerabilities in the bootloader or Android software. They will probably force the CPU to execute some unsigned code or set a value in the bootloader to do something that will bypass the factory reset protection.

Emulating such device's behavior will take an absolute gigantic effort, as you would need to know the internals of said target, what to exploit, which code to execute when and where. And that's probably not for the faint of heart.

You want to know how I know? I'm basically working on these side of things, as a hobby of mine, and in no shape or form being able to pull off such attack of this scale ,even at my level of experience/expertise. I'm working primarily on ARM processors, and getting to a point where the CPU can execute unsigned code, is extremely difficult, given all the security features built-in the CPU.

In short, quite impossible (in the eyes of a layman) unless you are a person whose IQ is on the far-right of the scale, having all the time in the world, and deep pockets.
