Boxing

What does that make Garcia? Lol. He quit.
have to say that Garcia was disappointing. After winning the 1st round by staying on the outside and outboxing davis he just abandoned that strategy!

I have to ask, did actually he come to win? he was just wading into range and got touched to the body in rounds 2 - 5 too easily. The rehydration clause would have had a pronounced effect there... which set up the liver blow...

VERY disappointing and also strange IMO. He got cocky maybe, and handed tank a gift tbh. Strange because if you watch how he just started throwing naked shots where before he was setting things up behind feints and his jab.

Credit to tank, he got the job done but once again, sub-par opponent made him look good. Still dont rate him. He needs to fight better opponents, at their best, on the road before i start giving him props.

Was pulling @ShloshMalosh ' leg lol. They both fought well, but a good counter is better than a good attack in my books.
Styles make fights, it was always gonna be whether the counterpunch was gonna land but i gave Garcia too much credit. He was "fighting" well untill he started just spamming naked, telegraphed shots. That was always gonna land him in trouble against tanks counters

When i say "fighting" im talking about rock paper scissors as it relates to styles make fights.

For those that dont know it. A counterpuncher beats a boxer beats a fighter beats a counterpuncher.

This is boxing. Money always talks. Until it's more open and transparent, it will remain the ass end of sport I guess.

been laundering mafia/cartel money since the early 20th century. that aint stopping anytime soon

doesnt surprise me for a long time. just makes me value the real ones more. and makes me sad that its so dirty.

thats why Pacquiao is the GOAT and floydd will never touch his bootlaces

I believed that at one point Pacquiao would beat Mayweather, pity their fight didnt happen at the right time.
Mayweather was damn good, he has a lot of hate, and I dont like him, but he was very good. His style change was interesting, used to be more aggressive, but the man finished well, didnt get his brains beat in and was a champion

I honestly believe this time Wilder beats Fury. I hope it happens, I think Fury has lost his fire again, he tanked the Usyk fight, and Wilder needs to decisively put him on his ass

Pacman - 7 weight class champion, 5 time LINEAL champion, beat guys on the road, in their back yards. Didnt win all his fights but took on all commers and was never dominated. Real G

VS

Floyd the protected cherry picker... the hate is real cos the fake is real... the greatness is just narrative. It exists only because he spoke it and ppl swallowed it. Only fought in Vegas, only fought guys when it suited him, at weights that suited him, with judges that suited him. All to protect his 0. what good is an 0 if you cherry pick. Bitch nigga

And that "0" might well not have been had a different set of judges officiated in this fight.

haahahha, I can hear the love for Mayweather :)
I prefer pac for sure, but mayweather was very good. You cant have watched him box and say otherwise.
He did get favour from judges, Castillo definitely won the first fight.

Boxing scoring sucks and judges have produced some awful decisions. I dont think mayweather is the greatest ever, and he probably isnt in my mentions when I am asked about the best boxers, but he was still pretty damn good.

ducking pacman for so long was disappointing

are they fighting again? will be interesting. and hopefully as entertaining as the 3rd
I see its not confirmed....fury will probably tank this like he has other fights recently, but I hope wilder connects and he doesnt get up if it happens

im not denying that he was good. he was, and that just makes it worse that he resorted to what he did.

thats fair, we keep hearing about his unbeaten record, but everyone who knows, knows he dodged fights or waited until the right time. That might be smart, sure, but it doesnt make him as good as the record reflects.

Very few fighters can remain unbeaten over a long period. They have off days, it is hard to evolve, age catches up, whatever. But his record makes him stand higher than we was.

Losing and coming back is sometimes greater than a perfect record with not taking risks in terms of sport excellence. In terms of business, his health and all that, he did it well

In bold is what separates Pacman from the rest. Incredible achievement that won't easily be eclipsed.
Whether or not money is the real deal will never be known and only he and his team are to blame. The tarnish on his record is the way they avoided big bouts.

I see Lerena won over the weekend. Now he can challenge for the new bridgerweight belt. Still not clear if the bridgerweight class will stick though.
