I know that the Muslim empires had an effect on the modern world or contributed in a sense toward development. It is your way of bringing your point across that confuses people, and generally they'll now disagree with every statement you make.

If you had said Muslims had a hand or influenced some modern day concepts and so on, provided some concrete references, there would be no backlash.

Back onto the topic at hand. Is there really much more to discuss on the whole Woolworths issue? Some people are boycotting and others not, that's about it, unless someone has some more information on it.

Woolies Israeli tomatoes are farmed in Modderfontien, by a friend of mine. Although they are from Israel originally I doubt a cent goes back there now. His family are all trying to avoid the draft.

I wonder if this boycott means I am allowed to skip the till queue if there are Muslims in front of me ?

Selective activism is so hip right now.

2 great kosher deli's in sea point that are strictly kosher. will stop there as well, maybe even make a financial contribution.

Are you planning to boycott Russia any time soon? Israeli exports to Russia are massive anyhow and they are expected to triple in the near future with Russia banning European produce. The amount woolies purchase is a mere piss in the ocean compared to the Russian expenditure.

Pension seriously? This is the epitome of idiocy. All the energy being used up on these flash mobs and as I've heard it being called, "guerilla shopping", could have been used to make Salaah and Thikr to ask for the bloodshed to end.

I know that prayer alone is not always enough but as I said, you guys are only managing to isolate us and create an even bigger unsympathetic response to Palestines cause.

How is being arrested going to help our brothers and sisters. How is turning society against us going to help sway people to believe us when we say "Palestine is the victim".

Ok please understand that this is not illegal. The consumer has a right to not purchase something. Secondly the people in South Africa need to be informed as to what is happening in Palestine. And this is a way to do it. This movement is not only happening in South Africa. I do feel it might be unfair to pick on woolies, but its just a matter of creating awareness.
