The article says pro-Israeli supporters handed out figs and dates. Definitely not as radical as the OP first stated.

There is nothing in that article about any alleged racism at Sandton City.
Unless you can provide any concrete proof of the alleged racism, then I will be changing the thread title and the first post to match the contents of the article.

The racist perpetrators caught harassing and profiling shoppers yesterday are from a Zionist Organisation called Bnei Akiva (www.bnei.co.za). They were handing out Israeli produce clearly branded from Woolworths and wearing their org's shirts. They took photos inside Sandton City (SC) and Woolworths SC. Bnei Akiva have a CT office. The Bnei Akiva campaign is on their website, which proudly sports photos of them inside and outside Woolworths with the store logo prominent. Both the store and Sandton City landmarks are easily recognizable in the photos.

They were shouting slogans like:
"Take that Palestine!" This is food from our Holy Land!" "Israel is our Holy Land!"! as they handed free Israeli imported produce from Woolworths to WHITE shoppers.

They deliberately profiled people who looked Indian, Muslim or brown/black skinned, sending racist and derogatory remarks to them as they walked past or stood nearby, Eg.
(Said to one Indian woman). "Don't give to her, she's probably a terrorist fan!"

This is tantamount to hate speech, discrimination, harassment and racial and religious profiling!

These campaigns are seriously becoming ridiculous...

If I follow their thinking and keep neutral, I should stop buying:

- US, UK, German, French, Belgium and other occidental products products because they sell/supply products to Israel.
- Russian, Chinese, Iranian products because because they sell/supply Palestinians and indirectly somehow Hamas/Hezbollah.
And from every country that supplies these countries...

How stop buying litchis and hummus is going to make any difference...

Guess I should just buy my own island and live of my own crops and cattle...
 
I guess it's Woolworths ready to eat dinners for the foreseeable future for my household then.

I suspect this will end like all the other Woolies boycotts, what were they again, Frankies, Christian magazines or something, can't remember.

The Frankies issue forced their rip-off product off the shelves.
 
How many boycotts are currently active against woolworths now? :p

I don't really like figs and dates, doesn't Israel made anything nice? Maybe I should stock up on soda stream crème soda flavour.
 
It would be nice if they could drop their prices before that day...
 
That reminds me.... need to do a BIG woollies shop tonight.

Interesting to see that there is no boycott on checkers and PnP ? They are the ones with the real Kosher sections, lots of stuff from Israel.
