Boys weekend

Dinokeng ? if the bush / outdoors is an option (didnt read all posts)

So, The long weekend in August I would like to take my boys out and away from the house.

But I have no idea where to go or what to do,

We live in JHB,
I dont mind driving and if we do the 2am drive, they will sleep most of the way if we had to hit DBN or something,

Boys are 14 and 11,
Theres no 'bucketlist' type thing that they want to do, they enjoy pretty much anything. We are a semi active family, so hikes etc could work

Id like to do something at the coast, They have only been to the ocean once and that was around 7 years ago. But that can also be scheduled for another time if something else thats more enjoyable pops up.

Anyone got suggestions?
Dullstroom?
Hikes/walks, fishing.

hmmm. add some pina coladas and some good EDM and that's a very viable option!

Whats the budget?
You could hit YAS! Waterworld and Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi over a weekend with just a 7h flight either way.

If you prefer to keep it local, Cape Town is never a bad idea. Some good spots down there though they might have age restrictions but a few R200's to a bouncer generally puts them looking the other way unless its a very hectic place. You're never too young to bounce to some good EDM/etc in the mother city...

If you wanna go quiet and low key i'm not sure, i don't usually do that but i guess maybe fly fishing in Dullstroom? Evenings can sit around the fire with some rum and cook marshmallows while watching a good movie on the TV?
