Branson gets wrong number

How does this work?

70000/120000 = 58%
It says "a further 70,000" in other words, above the 120,000 active clients there is 70,000 being collected on. Brings it to about 190,000 in total. So it's closer to 37%. Also it says "in collections or have been handed over to lawyers." So not all of those are bad debt just yet.

They made a big mistake. They had the formula, but thought they were clever and deviated from it.

Who can forget the VRewards that never arrived, the slow data speeds, the unhelpful staff, the promises about free SMS's that were simply false.

Now their phones are 1 1/2 times the price of even Vodacom.

The whole thing has been a complete mess from DAY 1.

quote:
And both businesses have new leaders. Virgin Mobile, a 50-50 joint venture with network operator Cell C — it piggybacks on Cell C’s network — has its third CEO in as many years.
should read:
And both businesses have new leaders. Virgin Mobile, a 50-50 joint venture with network operator Cell C — it piggybacks on Cell C’s network (which in turn still piggybacks partly on Vodacom's network) — has its third CEO in as many years.

This has been their perpetual problem. They keep on saying they want to concentrate on the upper end. Well, you can't run a limousine service with Beetles. Quality and coverage with Cell-C (and hence Virgin) is poor with very limited data services.

I like the Virgin post-paid service and I use it, but what's going to make me and my wife change is call quality.

Even I can see that the new CEO is heading for a concrete wall

” Focus is the post-paid consumer market and the upper end of the pre paid market. “

Upper end of prepaid users are not going to settle for EDGE

Its scary seeing how many people didnt pay their credit card bills :O
70000 people and you can just wonder how much money is owed to virgin atm

And those who paid their credit card bills on time every time and manage their credit cards like it should are treated like criminals.

After the third incident I summarily closed my Virgin Money Credit Card and that after I warned them every time that I will take this line of action.

Some people use credit cards not because they need the credit but rather for the convenience of having a credit card but it seems like Virgin Money cannot grasp this simple fact when it is pointed out to them by their clients.
