Bread substitute

So after having a slice of peanut butter bread with milk for breakfast, and late morning a large low carb breakfast at M&B my blood sugar just now was lower than what my fasting blood sugar was just a week ago. Amazing what a difference your food intake can make to your health.

So is it 6 measured tablespoons or 6 “dig out with a large spoon” tablespoons (which is probably about 12-18 tablespoons)

I didn't measure, just took 6 heaped spoons.

Made this today. 6 measuring tablespoons and 6 eggs. Bread tasted eggy... Guess I need to heap them to make them more like 12 tablespoons

Yeah, I heap my spoons so mine don't really taste like egg. Maybe try only using 5 eggs?

Yeah my batter was rather runny.. so will reduce egg as well next time.

My batter is not overly runny so it might be that. I'm making one again later tonight for the kids for school. Will see if I remember to take a pic.

So, on doctors orders I decided to change my diet end of last year. Just smaller portions, and I cut out bread. So I lost quite a few kg's and in order to keep it off I now need to keep this up.

I also love burgers, rolls and all manner of other bread. What can I use as a substitute?

As an example I have not had pizza in two months, base is bread. What can I use as a substitute?

Cant really make out the consistency in a photo. But it's not too runny.

So after this no bread thing I started eating bread again and my asthma returned, so stopped eating bread for a few months. Then started eating rye and then sour bread.

So now I'm slowing introducing bread into my diet again. Starting by baking a "quick bread" with cheese and bacon in. Currently in the oven.

Nothing can replace bread. I went through this too when switching to LCHF and I have learned that you cannot change and have things stay the same.
I didn't read the thread. But yes, my wife had to cancel anything with carbs or sugar.

There is no replacement for bread.

Rather see it as getting used to a complete new diet or way of eating, not replacing something your were used to. That is a long, expensive and disappointing journey.
