Brian Molefe quits Eskom

Molefe was tipped to replace Gordhan as Minister of Finance and Shaun the Sheep and the Hawks are still after Gordhan so there may still be another twist in this tale.

Good riddance. Douche bag. Wish him nothing but the worst life has to offer. But I know there are better things in atore for him.

I don't believe that [even] Zuma has the guile to replace Gordhan with Molefe. That would be pure suicide imho. More over, Molefe is too much of a crybaby pussy to be able to withstand the ensuing scrutiny and public onslaught.

Wonder what post he will get in the Gupta empire ? Or maybe he wants to spend more time at the shebeen. ;)

Guess he's going to go seek help regarding his drinking problem...

At least one man who still have a conscience, I thought all in the Zuma/Gupta circle were the defiant until the end type like Hlaudi and Zuma.

LOL, if he had a conscience he wouldn't partake in illegal deals with the Guptas, and would stay and help root out all the other cadres in ESKOM .

He's like a rat jumping ship.

have a conscience? Really?

Are you that drunk on the KoolAid?

This man is trying very hard to get away from the criminal proceedings that will be launched against him in the near future.

BS. The rumours of his dodgy dealings with the Guptas over the coal deal have been around for months.

He was finally caught out properly in the report with tangible evidence and retreated like a whimpering dog.

What you all seem to be forgetting is that corruption is endemic to Africa, but least we think for a moment, there might be some self-reflection and accountability somewhere, it is of course, another legacy of colonization:

Gees, that article is pure hogwash and yet illustrates another poor excuse for accountability and deflect responsibility. If colonialism is to blame, then by deduction Western Europe should also be afflicted with the scourge of corruption - after all, the imperialist Roman machine imposed their laws on all those they conquered and occupied.

perhaps I should have borrowed a /sarcasm tag from Reddit for some parts of my comment.

Time for the mafia state to do the same. The tide has only just begun rising, time to get out is now before the cards come tumbling down.

How exactly will resigning help him escape criminal charges?
The man's integrity has been compromised and he is doing exactly what he is supposed to do, it's what anyone who has a conscience does when caught in such a situation.
