Hi all

I have read the older threads regarding this issue, but I was wondering if there are any new methods? There is Polka as an ISP on my router already but I wish to add OpenWeb but keep Polka too.. From what I have come to understand, i need to set up a bridge connection on my router to utilize both ISP's... What are the methods of doing this? I am using Vista Home Premium and I have the Telkom Mega 100WR router..

Looking forward to your answers

through my research, it seems there is an easier way to use both ISP's on both pc's.. instead of bridging the connections.. there is an option without having to fiddle with any router settings? sorry for answering my own thread :)
would love to hear some opinions and advice..

I recently got a new (unused) 100wr and tried to do what you want to do. After bricking it with 105wr firmware, then resurrecting it again with the correct firmware, and much fiddling and cursing, I came to the realisation that it could not be done. I stand to be corrected...

Easy way just setup a PPPOE connection on your pc and it will work.
So when you dial in to your openweb when you want too and when your done disconnect and your back on your router settings.

Hope that's what you want to do.

For some reason I could not get that router to go into bridge even when everything was setup and you restart the router like it ask, but then its just back to the normal settings nothing changed.

I fear you are missing the point. What you suggest does not seem possible with the 100wr. It cannot do 1/2 bridge mode - that config just isn't accommodated for in the firmware. But, as I said, I stand to be corrected.

I understand what he wants to do, but I also miss read that he is using vista so it might not be that simple.

(non related maybe)
All I am saying is that at the moment my router is set up for local only in normal mode.
And when ever I need to use my international bandwidth I just dial in and use it when I need, when i am done I just disconnect and I am back on my local account. This way I never have to worry about updates wasting my bandwidth.

I understand - I do the same with mine. But I couldn't achieve this with the 100wr. Am I missing something? Are you using the 100wr to do this? Or the 105wr? The 105 comes in 1/2 bridge mode out of the box. The 100wr not so.

O dam feel so stupid we change the router the other day we using the 105wr now. sorry about that.

i want to use openweb on one pc only and polka on the other pc only :?
any advice? :(

See if you can find a mega 105wr and swap it with your 100wr. Maybe someone with a single straight account who doesn't need the 1/2 bridge mode capability of the 105wr that you require and the 100wr does not have.

is bridging the only option here? or is there another way of doing this without touching the router's options?
