Hey all

Got a quick question.

Need to change an adsl setup for a client and need the following scenario.

Main house adsl is configured on the adsl router 10.0.0.2 . Now guest house has a hard cable to the main router and plugs into wan port on broadband router 192.168.1.1 Seperate adsl account, sharing line speed, seperate bandwidth. Broadband router is set to ppoe and wan to automatic ip. The question is which of the following must the adsl router be set as / support:

LLC/SNAP-BRIDGING
PPOE pass through
Half- Bridge
Bridge

I know my own Billion 400G allows we to have multi sessions on my wan profile so i can dialup from any pc with an ip address to connect via another adsl account.

Thanks

I don't think you've explained this quite as comprehensively as I'd hope, to be sure, but from what I gathered it should be in half-bridge mode.

basically want to use one adsl line, one adsl modem, one broadband router and 2 adsl accounts one connects via the adsl router, the other via ppoe on broadband router. just need to confirm what mode and what to set the adsl router as so the broadband router can dial it and authenticate on the isp's network

Yea sounds like half-bridge again - if by adsl router you mean adsl modem... try keep your naming consistent (whether its right or wrong :P)
