Hi forumites

I'm looking to buy a Note 8 from overseas (I'm specifically looking for the pink model; in any case, local prices seem pretty dismal).

Best way to do it?

It seems the best deal is from Amazon, but I'm wondering whether it's best to have Amazon ship directly, or to do it through Aramex Global Shopper. In either case, the import fees aren't clear up front (it's not shipped through AmazonGlobal, but by the retailer direct).

Anyone have an idea what I could expect in terms of duties? And which method is likely to be best?

Thanks! :)

I'd go with Amazon. Please insure that they do not use Aramex, as there has been a spate of phone thefts from Aramex.

Alternatively, use AGS and insure it.

Agree with this... I ordered a phone from Gearbest recently and used Aramex to ship to SA. Item was eventually declared stolen. Their customer support is shockingly bad and even trying to contact them via social media yielded zero results. Luckily I took insurance and got my money back.
