British series, mini-series and dramas .....

Was looking for a filler yesterday and ended up watching all 8 episodes of Cradle To The Grave lead by Peter Kay.

A retro family comedy about growing up in the 60's in a council estate.

A bonus is the 60's soundtrack - give this one a try.

Anyone watching Prey season 2 ?

I'm trying to figure out what if any connection there is to season 1 ?

According to the reviews - and barring a single actor - there is no connection to season one.

So it's just Glenister in a completely unrelated story - thanks.

Not that it's disappointing in any way, it's actually rather good so far.

'70s, surely?

All the music and the clothes are very familiar to me.:D

Rewatched Mad Dogs. Not the best show ever but love it. SA location shooting is great to watch. Will watch again in a year or two.

I see Luther is back in a 2 parter, downloading part 1 now ...

Enjoying a prolonged leave of absence from the police force, DCI John Luther is laying low in an old rundown cottage. Then, a visit from colleagues at the Met brings a piece of news that draws him back to London in search of the truth. Meanwhile, a cannibal serial killer has struck the city, and Luther is soon racing against the clock to stop them before they strike again. Drama, starring Idris Elba and Warren Brown.

Dickensian

Tony Jordan has big fun with a cast of Charles Dickens characters from Oliver Twist to The Old Curiosity Shop. Inspired by the novelist’s tales of the haves and have-nots in Victorian society, this series is released in half-hour chunks of the next few weeks, just as Dickens ought to be.

And Then There Were None

Menace lurks amid the heritage colours in this Agatha Christie yarn, as a group of disparate characters – a secretary, a “man in tinned goods”, a general, etc – are summoned to Soldier Island off the Cornish coast, for a weekend break. But where are the hosts? The cast is inevitably terrific, from the obligatory Miranda Richardson through to Charles Dance, Sam Neill and Noah Taylor, but the stately nature of the storytelling and the fragility of the civility at the gathering is ultimately what bowls you over.
