This show was pure comedic genius. I've never laughed as much as in the monkey episode. I think he is correct though: a 3rd season would have undone the brilliance of S01 and S02.

It's fine I get that, but still The Office had a Christmas special that tied up the story nicely. People just need a conclusion to a narrative arc.

I think The Office had a much bigger scope for narrative arcs as there were more story lines with more characters. Two people in a car leaves you with very limited scope and a 3rd series or a Special may have felt forced?

There could have only been 2 outcomes anyway and either would have spoilt it for various detractors.

On the other hand: there was a Seinfeld "theme" to this show so the options were legion for new "stories" within this unique setting. Maybe he just got gatvol/lazy and didn't want to do or write another one?

I think you were one of the few ones.
People tend to overlook the obvious flaws, not my fault

This bigshot , paranoid, multinational arms dealer came across as being increasingly stupid. Didn't make sense at all. The first guy on the chopping board is always the new guy

The ending was too neat, worse than Hollywood. Was not meant to be like that. Some people should have died. The baddie got disappeared...the goodies got away Scot free, the guys whose money got robbed didn't seem to care who actually dunnit. How ridiculous is that?

Have you watched Series 1? What's it like?

It was fairly good. Had a decent story about a woman who finds things in her life aren't what she thought they were.
If you have access to BBC Iplayer, you can watch the whole of series 1 now before series 2 comes up.

Last night saw Channel 4's version of The Great British Bake Off.
For those who have watched in the past, its more of the same with the same format and setting as it had when it was in the hands of the BBC.
Only real difference was the cutting up of the programme for the adverts which I suppose can be avoided if you download the programme from the torrents. We watched through the streaming app on our Samsung TV.

It's the same because the production company hasn't changed, just the broadcaster.

Which one is that please? Do you need a VPN?

Yeah I knew it was the same company that makes the Bake Off. I expected it to be more or less the same but because Channel 4 is a commercial channel, thought maybe a bit of product placement or other subtle changes. They managed to squeeze in 3 commercial breaks into the hour long show which meant the actual show being 10 minutes or so shorter than it was on the BBC.

As for how. The app is called All4 from the UK smart hub. And we use Unotelly DNS settings in the network page on the telly. But I am looking at another DNS service or possibly a VPN because of a problem we have with Unotelly.

Gold has pulled out all the stops to produce a lovely jubbly six-part series that not only features rare and unseen footage from John Sullivan’s 1981-2003 BBC sitcom, but also features Del Boy and Rodney themselves, Sir David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst, talking about their experience on the show. Also onboard are supporting stars including John Challis (Boycie), Sue Holderness (Marlene), Tessa Peake-Jones (Raquel) and Gwyneth Strong (Cassandra).

“It’s a warm appreciation of everything Only Fools And Horses,” explains series producer and director Sean Doherty, “and we have made an effort to bring something new to the fans, rather than just going over the top 10 Only Fools clips.” It was made with help from the family of John Sullivan, who died in 2011.
