British series, mini-series and dramas .....

Zomboat! (2019)

A Zombie apocalypse is unleashed in Birmingham and sisters Kat and Jo, together with unlikely travel companions Sunny and Amar must flee for their lives...by canal boat.

Watched episode 1... Not sure about it. It's kind of James bond meets John Wick meets Bud Spencer... The Brit equivalent of a spaghetti western.

I loved it. Same kind of feel and atmosphere as Gotham and the story rolls along nicely through the season.

FYI, I watched about 15 minutes of the first John Wick, couldn't stand it :p

Two months to go.

Starts tomorrow.

Two detectives are dispatched to investigate the murder of a young girl on the outskirts of Dublin, but as the case of the missing children intensifies, both are forced to confront the darkness that lies in their past.

It's not often I can't wait for the day to end to watch more episodes of a series.....

Excellent this -
even though the ending was not to my liking, but probably more realistic than how I would have preferred it.

So after watching the first few minutes it does not feel like something I will carry on watching

I just came across a fantastic resource for British TV shows on reddit...

r/UKTVLAND

All the latest episodes as they come out and watchable/downloadable from Google Drive. I’ve just tested a couple of episodes and it works fantastically.

We just binged "Giri / Haji". Really enjoyed it.
The black & white dance / dream scene on the rooftop in the last episode which effectively provides a synopsis of the entire story has to be one of the best scenes in a television show I've ever witnessed. Beautifully done. And the "catchup" at the beginning of each episode - fantastic stuff!
