Broadband definition causes confusion

My first go at definition:
Always on, high speed (minimum 35KB/s) downloads, wireless or fixed line, no cap at a comparative (overseas) price.

Telkom does not guarantee any min speeds, so can any of their adsl products be classed as broadband?
 
As RichardP pointed out - even your analogue tel line pre ADSL is broadband - since it accomodates multiple frequencies. :D
 
Just an update in re my complaint to ASA.

They have sent a response acknowleding receipt of the complaint, assigning it a complaint number and a few other misc things. The bulk of the response has come to me as a pdf and there is a standard confidentiality disclaimer in the document so I've asked if I can make it public. On the whole Im quite impressed.

For reference purposes I believe the reference is:
TELKOM ADSL / P HJUL / 8238

I assume it has

Lol - mine was lodged over six months ago - I gave up and have lost those details unfortunately... they may be around somewhere still, but I will have to look. My complaint was about the claims made in an old ad about downloading movies in seconds etc. etc. with telkom broadband - and it being the cheapest fixed line operator or something like that.
