Broken 2.5" harddrive

ok, well, today seems to be a weird day... My maid knocked over my computer case. and my portable hdd was on it, and the usb port (on the hdd) has broken off... Now, I would just buy a new hdd, but, this one has alot of stuff on it that I really need... It's a lacie. So do you guys think it's possible for me to just replace the encloser?

I dropped one today too.

Of course I wasn't frightened by/like a little girl - just clumsy. I dont have any means of testing the drive until the morning.

well, the harddrive seems fine, only thing is that it's ide, which is gonna be a mission finding an ide case

Good news, I seem to have acquired another 2.5" case, and it seems as though the hard drive is working fine . So i revoke my initial statement saying that it will be a mission to find one
