Browser wars 2015: Chrome vs IE vs Firefox

Opera used to be great when Firefox still felt like amateur work.
Firefox still has the most useful addons (for me) that Chrome still doesn't have (and never will due to the way they have coded it).
Chrome has a weird scroll effect that I am not in love with and the Smoothscroll addon is janky at best.

Only reason Chrome tops the list is because they spam you from any other browser when you go to the Google landing page. That, and mildly tech savvy people recommend it to their technophobic family members because IE is just horrible.

Thumbs-up for Opera as well (after few days trying it out).

I'm still scratching my head as to why people don't use Opera that much,honestly much better than the other browsers.

Because these days it's just a clone of Chrome.

I use opera browser. Such a awesome browser it just work so well.

Even though this article goes back a few months now, just wanted to write that I've been using Opera for a few days & find it to be as good as, if not better than Chrome - so far seems to feel a bit more light-weight, at least. I'd tried it a few years ago & it was terrible then.

Even though it may be a clone of Chrome, I'm quite happy with that as when I log onto a Google account for G-Mail, it works exactly like Chrome does within the account - ie. 100%. IE & Firefox always seem to have issues when constructing mails, for eg. copying / pasting / moving text around within the mail, I'd find that the text got stuck in a certain place & couldn't be moved around, unlike how it works in Chrome & now Opera.

Have also setup the sync. facility between Opera browsers on different machines ; tested it & it works well. You can add an additional pass-phrase (presume it's like 2nd-factor authentication?) which they state doesn't make it to their servers - hope that's correct !

I've in fact deleted Firefox from my machines, as much prefer Opera over it.

Lastly, for some reason it couldn't / wouldn't import bookmarks from Chrome, but did manage to from IE & Firefox - the one +ve thing I can state then, about IE & F/fox !
