Browsing but no signing in

Hi all,

I find myself in a very frustrating position with my laptop. It can connect to the net and I can browse any web page, when I have to log to a specific account within the page (like Facebook, Kalahari, Yahoo Mail, etc), it returns an error "Could not locate remote server", when I do the same exact on my tablet or work pc everything is just fine. What do you think could be the problem?

I have serached the net for solutions and this seems to be a unique problem to myself. I tried clearing cookies, enabling and disbling. I have have turned the firewall settings. I have unistalled the anti-virus. Tried different security features and multiple browsers with cleared cache, still no solution.

My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite and is runnind Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

What browser are you using? Try with a different browser. I would highly recommend Chrome.

Installed Chrome and tried, still no luck. Reinstalled the OS, still no luck

Thank you, I found the solution. It seems that the tethering software I was using was the problem, I have now switched to another tethering software and all is well.
