BT games - No Support

I was a happy bt games customer uptil last week. i have been w8ing for aion now for 2 years, and its almost time to come out.

so 4-5 weeks ago i preordered my colectors edition.

1 week ago when i wanted to go pay, my pre order was never processed. And there was non left. I phoned Adrian whos in charge of the beta keys and stuff. He got my CE preorder up.

i went to go pay and all was fine.

yesterday the preselect started and i wanted to get into the preselect which i am entitled to due to the fact i got an CE.

i phoned adrian for my KEY, and he said hed email it for me in 5 min. 2 hours later the email never came. i went to bt games Tygervaley branch to get the client which is 9 gb.

the people there helped me fast. and they even found my key on my order number. so when i got home to install it etc.

it said my key is currently in use

I MEAN WTF IS GOING ON NOW

so i tried to call adrian this weekend, and nobody is able to get ahold of him. some manager he is.

now the preselect is gona finish before i even have the game. so i might not even get the char name i wanted etc.

i PAID for the CE, that means i should get the benefits of the CE after i paid for it. yet i get nothing

im realy waiting for a response on this

small clue there for you, unless bt games' offices [no not the outlets] are open during a weekend you are obviously not going to get any response like any other business that only work during office hours.
 
Never had any issues with BT so far.

Sometimes things just don't go your way, that is life :( It sucks when it happens.
 
ye but the fact is that it does say that his CD-key is in use so its either someone really wanted to play it at BT games, or AION made a stuff up
 
The support at the stores are good. But head office is poor when it gets to responding to queries.

I am still waiting for Adrian to get back to me concerning the memory band on pre orders of Dragon Age Origins, this was a month ago.

In the end I just got fed up waiting for him to respond so I contacted the developers directly and they responded within an hour telling me they were asked to prepare codes for the memory band and guildmasters belt for BT games.

I always have excellent service from the Brooklyn store but I do struggle when I need info from head office.
 
i dont necesarly have a problem with the people in the store.They always help where they can and know what they are talking about.

but the problem i have is head office.

i understand the weekend thing. but i paid for CE that means i should be in the pre select. but now i cant be cause there is no way to get in contact the adrian who messed up my account.

he never even sent the mail?? so what does that say? and i know they have the right email address.
 
now is a good time to go outside and enjoy real life for a change :D
 
I'm having a similar problem. I ordered my CE Edition in June. 3 weeks ago I pop into their store to make payment.

I'm then told that because I did NOT pay at the same time that there might NOT be a CE copy available for me.

As far as I know with BT Pre-Orders you're entitled to pay on the day you pick up & still receive your copy. I've been doing that for years.

After making a fuss & BT making a call, I now get to have my copy. The saleswomen then puts both my Pre-Order payment for Aion & COD Modern WarFare 2 on the same receipt. :erm:

I tried getting my Preselect key & they said they would email it. I've just come from there & they said they would email it. Nothings happened so far.
 
It clearly stipulates on the pre order receipts you have time till end of business on launch day to pay.

They have put lots of my games on the same receipt when it goes to paying for games so that usually isn't a problem as long as the system is update that you paid for both.

I hope they either give me the DAO pre order bonus items codes in store or else their emailing those work better than what's happening with you guys. If I don't get those codes promptly on launch day BT games and me will be having an issue.;)

Already emailed them to check how they will be distributing the bonus. I keep my receipts so there's no issues.

If you pay at the store you can check with them on the weekends. You are also more likely to get a prompt response from the store when emailing them as opposed to head office.
 
once a company becomes to big they do not care about their clients anymore. Try getting
a response if u write a e-mail to them, they just don't reply.

Agreed. I also mailed Adrian @ BT Games more than 2 weeks ago to find out why Section 8 isn't on the BT Games catalogue and that I'm interested in ordering it. Still haven't heard anything back yet :erm:
 
I reckon BT games is over rated, I buy my games at look and Listen. There service is very good.

Service is decent, wouldn't say "good" but that would depend on the branch. Their games are also pre-opened and the boxes usually ravaged. They're not much different to any other retailer that sells games - CNA, Musica, Game, etc. BTGames, is, to date, the only retailer in ZA that sells games still in its original packaging, unopened and without those security tags inside.

BTGames site is my only absolute gripe with them.

I, personally, prefer buying games, books, CDs, DVDs, etc online for the exact reasons mentioned above. But when push comes to shove, BTGames' stores get my money every time.

Recently pre-ordered Dragon Age CE from BTGames' site, so we'll see how that goes.
 
concerning bt, zaps definitely is a lot better so far anyways.

Seems a common theme is developing here. All of us emailed Adrian on our various issues and he hasn't gotten back to us.
