Budget Car for ~R60k

Hi all,

So, my girlfriend is in the market for a second-hand car, with a budget of approximately 60k. Been looking at the VW Polo Vivo, Ford Figo and Toyota Etios. She really likes the Figo and Vivo.

Any other options to look at? Hyundai i10 is out... Aesthetics

Also, please share economy figures if available, since that might be a deciding factor. I've heard the petrol Figo is quite thirsty at altitude, any truth to this? Which car is more refined between the Vivo and Figo?

How reliable are the diesel Figo's, and how does servicing and maintenance compare to petrol (and the Vivo), considering it will be second-hand?

im in CPT and looking for a polo and the only ones i can see is a 2005-2008 1.4 trendlines for below 70k

Figo is heavy on juice

I would go for small korea car, even the older gen like atos or getz.

Vivo is crap its a citi golf with a polo body.

But on the list i would go for the I10

Another vote for the Mazda3 or if the budget can stretch a bit more a Mazda2. Excellent cars.
