Budget smartwatch

I bought the exact same one off Bid or Buy for R250 about 6 months ago. Its meh... Works. Battery lasts all of 2 days if you don't use the watch.

the real question.
does it run android wear/apple watch based apps so it can be hooked up to pokemon go when that feature releases?

This is probably one of those things that will end up in your cupboard after a week or 2. Its basically a android phone with a tiny screen.

Well at the moment I own the Sony Smartwatch 2. I got it for R900. I am really happy with the watch. A Samsung Gear S2 would've been nice, but for the budget the Smartwatch 2 just does the thing.

A friend has one of these. Paid R160 for it from DealExtreme.

Very cheaply made CSTN display with horrible viewing angles and pixelated screen, but does what it says on the tin. The apk to link it to Android phones requires you to register for an account with them. It doesn't seem to be on the Play Store, but you scan a QR code that redirects you to some xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx address with a download link.

Battery lasts around two days, and it charges with MicroUSB. The touchscreen responsiveness and sensitivity is also not really all there.

Thanks for the help and feed back, going to look into one of these options. its a gift for someone. doesnt have to be the best aslong as it has a bit of functionality.

You must really hate this person. Rather get them something else for the same amount than something they might find unusable?

If it is for a guy/male, might I suggest going to www.mantality.co.za?

They have some cool stuff there, a wide selection of gifts etc to suite most tastes

If it's for the fairer sex then I dunno, book her a mani or pedi or whatever it is they like :D

lol, i hear you. a friend of mine asked me to look into it for his son, he knows even less about these things than i do
