how much would a person earning 1m save in tax a year now? on an income of 450 000 its R3400

I would have preferred an increase in VAT, so that everyone can see the increase directly, rather than the fuel levy which just obscures the increase and makes the lay person think they not paying anything extra

I would have loved a government making decision with above average IQ and actually forward thinking beyond the next election. All the decisions made here is to keep all the useless workforce at SOE's happy to continue voting for the same idiots who caused the SA downfall.

Scrap the SOE's , use that bailout money to support the essential SOE such as Eskom not to collapse. Do actual proper accounting with Eskom and claw back the corrupt contract funds.

Scrap thousands of useless government employees which account for 35% of our yearly budget. If we could cut that in half and clean up an extra R300 billion on that wasted spend it could go a long way without even increasing any rates.

You know, actual governing and not just increasing the milking machine without fixing the holes in the sinking boat.

I know that is all unrealistic because it actually means doing some work rather than just spiking up levys and fronting more finances for failing cr@p like SABC, SAA and the likes.
 
Actually, put in my true amount, there is something funky about that calculator - claims I will save R10 000/month in taxes! I don't even pay that in income taxes per month.

Well you must be part of the sub par IQ government officials else you would have known there is an ignore button. I know you are just trying to score brownie points because replying with this comment is beyond brain dead.

I stated good alternatives, rebuke what I stated and why it is not a better actual turn around than just ever increasing spend by the SA government. You cant!
