Hi guys

A customer of mine is into webdesign and he wants a program or something that will allow him to build his website offline and then upload the completed site in one go...

What would you guys recommend?

Thanks

If he's looking for free software, then KompoZer is probably his best bet. If he's willing to pay, then nothing can beat Adobe Dreamweaver.

I do all my sites in Dreamweaver. You can switch between Design View and Code View (even a spilt view)... which is extreamly helpful.

Is the site HTML or does it have server side code (ASP, PHP)?

If its HTML, it should just work by default by pointing your browser to the index.html file ofyour website folder.

If you want a truer experience, then I can suggest you run a webserver off your PC. Something like Apache.

All sites are started offline, and then uploaded in one go.

I use Frontpage too, does what I need to do....but I hear great things about dreamy

To test the offline sites ... either download yellowtip server or wamp server ... they are both Apache servers (These guys just make it easier to install).

Download Nusphere techplat. It is an apache webserver with php and perl and a few other thingies you might need. If you going to be using a DB download mySQL.

Fancy wysiwyg is DreamWeaver but notepad++ works just as well.
