Bulls rock Thread

See Morne steyn has scored more than half of the Bulls points this season.

Also great to note he outscores 6 teams in the S14 thus far and that means one thing... the Bulls are scoring a lot of tries :D

It looks like Fourie Du Preez is being rested for the weekend's game.

I see he is infact not being rested. He is starting from what I have seen. Also Potgieter is starting and Russouw on lock so Flip vd Merwe moves to the bench.

did I miss something? but why is Stegmann being used as an impact player all of a sudden?

Rotation system.

It is working and since we have 30 odd players that are all good enough to start why not?

Steggman will start soon then Kuhn will move to the bench, this will continue then for two to 4 weeks iirc.

Can't we change the title to "Stormers rock Thread"?

:D

Soon as the stormers win 2 x S14 tournaments ;)

I love how the bulls have score 3 x 50 and 47 in 4 games :D It is however a tad worrying that we conceded 5 tries this weekend.

Can anyone through some light on what happened a Rhapdosy's on Saturday after the game? I hear some Bulls players were involved...

A question to the Bulls fans. A few mates of mine, Bulls supporters, have been talking about their concern of the Bulls peaking to early, which I don't buy into. But the real concern and mine too, is that the Bulls might be relying to heavily on altitude to give them the second half boost over the travelling sides. I am a little worried about the way in which they allow their opponents to get a head start.

Your thoughts?

The Bulls have been a second half team pretty much since I started actually following rugby, but that wasn't ages ago to be honest. The altitude helps, but it's not enough to win on it's own (see the Lions), I think the bulls just play better when they have the pressure on them. And peaking too early is a bit of a concern, especially with the rest break so early in the year - it's a long stretch from here to the finals. Luckily the away games are against some of the weaker teams (except possibly the Reds), which should make touring a little easier.

They are not peaking to early, they are just winning all their home games, which should be done by any team that wants to get into the semi's. Hopefully the South African teams can win most overseas as well.

consolation tries :D

Lol :p:D

It is my considered opinion that the Stormers winning 4 out of 5 games is a bigger achievement. :D

Whahaha, too true. But I really wish them to do well so we can have an all SA final!

What have you heard as I have not heard anything.

The problem is usually that a team has only 15-22 players that are really good, then comes loss of form or even an injury in the second half of the S14.... But the bulls have a full 30 players to draw on that are all on form and ready for S14 rugby.

So no I do not think the Bulls are peaking to early. I am actually glad the opposition scores a couple of tries each game to keep our feet on the ground :)

The Bulls seems to just be carrying on where they stopped last year. The check things out the first 20-30mins and then come back to kick a$$ and chew bubblegum.

What is worrying though is the amount of tries conceded - our defence seems to let too many "easy" ones through.

But on offence, the Bulls are amazing at the moment. Hopefully there won't be too many injuries and the core of the team can carry us through.

What is also great is that, even with big names such as Bakkies Botha, Bryan Habana, Akona Ndungane etc. not playing at the moment or having left the Bulls, they are still doing the job very well!

Has anyone won the Super 14 3 times already? :D :D

Live in Cape Town and everyone around me does not support the Bulls lol.. I'm so hated. Bulls Rock!!
