AAaargh! Dammit!

Well done to the sharks. Gloaters, please, I understand - you have to. I would too.

We had a bad game and made one critically bad decision that could have changed the outcome. However, since they never looked like a winning team, the victory would have been ill-deserved. Now, for this final, I really could not care less. Who would I like to see take it? damn fish! Anything to stop the mountain goats...

Congrats to the Sharks, you were the better team on the day and you ruled the forwards battle. Why Victor did not take the two easy-ish penalties in the second half will forever be a mystery to me.

As to the finals I would like to see a good one with the kind of rugby that brought both these two teams to the top this year.

Good luck to both. (I will be hoping the Visvoete (WP) can pull one over the Gupies).

I have been so busy I have not been on this week yet. That game of rugby was not entertaining at all. :( I was hoping for some great rugby. WTH with the bees?

Well done to the Sharks, they played a better game on the day.

As for WP, I hope they win it. They have not won it in a while. :)

lol, Alf.

Was a though Currie Cup.
I must congratulate the Sharks. When Province was gaining momentum, they would steal the ball and counter attack.
On to next year!

What are your guys thoughts on the game this weekend? Think its going to be tough, an eye opener perhaps?

Aussies are looking super hot BTW and I am more worried about them for next years RWC than anyone else.

Arrgghhh seasons tickets are flippen expensive, how am I going to convince my wife that I want to spend R3500 on two tickets??!!

Easy - tell her....
R3,500 for TWO tickets is far less than R35,000 for ONE divorce

whahahahaa, got juice coming out the nose...

can just see that convo "Baby, ill either go with you, the love or my life, every saturday to Loftus, or i'll go as a single man looking for a stukkie , but i'm going"

Man, I've already made peace with the fact that the missus will not join me at loftus, she said I could buy the tickets, but of course with that "Do what you want" mannerism, so....I'm gonna do it!!!!!!!!!!

EDIT: Dangit ...got foiled along the way, had to choose between some awesome weekends, and getting the kids to sleep through the night, so I bought a trampoline for them. So I'll have to wait till next year for season tickets

Looks like the Blue Bulls union will be playing some matches away from Loftus Versfeld this year:

The Bulls intend playing several games at stadiums used for the 2010 Soccer World Cup.

Union CEO Barden van Graan said the idea was a payback after Loftus, the Bulls' traditional home ground, benefited during the soccer spectacular.

"Loftus was upgraded to the tune of many millions of rands and we also hosted matches," he was quoted as saying by Planet Rugby. "We decided after that we will avail our teams to play at other venues as well."

Planet Rugby

The Bulls will play a Premier XV (made up of Blue Bull and Puma players) at Nelspruit's Mbombela Stadium as a Super Rugby warm up. The Blue Bulls will play Eastern Province in a Vodacom Cup match at Polokwane's Peter Mokaba Stadium.

I like that idea, to be honest. Going to these "smaller" stadiums is a real treat. They don't stress as much, crowds aren't as big (due to stadium limits) and beer is usually cheaper, if it is available. It also gives one the perfect excuse for a Rugby Road Trip, which at my age is the only kind of road trip I can still go on without the wife 'n kids nagging.

I also like the idea of moving some smaller games, it's not like Vodacom Cup games draw large crowds anyway. The stadiums they will play in are actually really good. Both are over 40 000 seaters. The Golden Lions union have also sad that they plan to play matches in their union area, but not at Ellis Park. Orlando Stadium is perfect to host some of their matches.

The lions actually NEED to do this, to broaden their fan base. They have lost many supporters recently to Sharks ("cos I lived in durban for 2 hours once"), WP ("anyone but the Bulls") and indeed the BULLS. And at least the ones I know won't be returning any time soon.

Oh, did I mention, R8 beers....

Agreed, actually Joburg is the one established franchised region which still has a lot of expansion potential. If rugby were to go truly pro in SA, only franchises, no unions, I think that SA could probably have 8 teams. The 5 existing franchises, the Southern Kings, a team which long term would be based in Nelspruit, at first sharing with Rustenburg, and a second Joburg team.

Well played last night guys!
Kings 23
Bulls 7

Keep up the good work

Trolling not okay

Early season for all teams. Bulls might have been experimenting, giving senior players more time before the S15 starts.
