Burger King Review

Out of curiousity I had a look at the reviews and this just took my breath away.
Got to Burger King for the 4th time last night at 6:45pm but as usual the line was long and decided to take my SIX kids for a drive and come back later as they only close at 11pm. Got back at 10pm with kids all excited just to find that they didn't take anymore customers. Please stipulate your correct trading hours.

No wonder the lines have been huge- people have been returning with their kids and extended families up to 4 times in the past two weeks and holy hell, this guy decided it would be better to drive his kids around cape town for 3 hours until the queues died down only to find he couldn't get in. Poor Kids. 3 hours in a car. 2 hours in a queue. what is the world coming to? What happened to Childhood? Why do Kids have to stare at the back of daddys Fez for three hours ? At night. All goddam night? no wonder our education system is gone to the dogs. Kids too tired to open eyes.

I found it pretty gross.

The onion rings weren't onion rings, but soggy doughy rings of yuk. Processed onion? Why?

Burger... super refined rolls like McDonald's. Patty was sterile, well done, with no caramelization. Cheese was plasticy. Over salted, too sweet. The garnish on the roll was the only thing that resembled food.

Cooldrinks were aanmaak drinks.

This is like McDonald's all over again. Cardboard, mass produced, made as cheaply as possible, just a load of marketing.

Better food to be had, even at a supermarket pre-made food counter.

Back in the days many many years ago (90s) I used to be a massive blink182 fan. That's where the nick was established :-).
 
Had such a disappointment over the weekend. Small queue on Sunday and I decided to wait. Was cold and raining but only about 30 people so shouldn't have taken long. The idiots only let in 4 people or so at a time. Let them place their orders, finish the order and only then let new people in, WTF? This was just before lunch time, when I finished my meal there were over 100 people outside in the cold waiting, hardly anyone inside and no one allowed to order! I have a pic of literally no one being inside, no one in the queue, 100 people outside... The service was pathetic too, they had 6 orders on the screen and still it took 15 minutes to be done. The staff service was so poor and unfriendly... Really disappointed, idiots, they are running the brand into the ground.
 
sigh .... this is now a month on and they still havent gotten the idea that they need to be more effective
with their service and staff up ... even get in extra kitchen staff just to get the flow right.

that said i will not .... NOT stand in this freeeeezing weather just for a extra long chilli cheese ... even
though i really want one :{

wonder if they would add those chillies to a king xxl for me :}

They should do, after all BK is "have it your way". Anywhere else in the world you can certainly do it...

It is pathetic, their staff is so slow and incompetent. Either add more or train them properly...
 
Have to agree with others on the staffing - not particularly good or well trained - slow service, wrong orders, poorly cooked.

They really should be able to handle more people at a time - McD's, KfC staff definitely better trained.

Owner needs to get his act together - I presume that these core staff will be seeding the other outlets - not a good base.

The one day that I managed to get in, the queue management inside was poor, the manager was in a dwaal, and the order takers/servers had that vacant "I don't really know wtf I'm doing" look.

Hope the owner is not going to understaff / undershift the place 'cos then it will go down the tubes.

Most likely they send them to BK Mosque where they get to worship the Macon deity and his spirits of bad customer service.
