Burger King Review

People that post stuff like that have probably not worked in a restaurant kitchen.

If you ever go to any restaurant's kitchen, you will probably never want to eat out ever again
Same with if you knew what goes into process meat you will never eat that ever again as well.

Agreed!! What happens in the kitchen stays in the kitchen!! 10 second rule applies!! :p

Roach infestation can easily get out of hand and then becomes difficult to control!!

What's the queue like on Rivonia Road? Haven't been to a local BK due to the queue.

Drove past it a couple of weeks back, didn't look busy at all. Surprisingly low key site too!! Surprised at Burger Kings reluctance to build drive thru's!!

Probably going to get super busy now that the students are back...

We'll see after payday. Yesterday the lunchtime queue went up to the entrance & there were a couple empty seats. Service was very fast, so didnt even wait long for the order.
I like the fact that they go looking for the customers if they call your order & you dont collect quickly. Most restaurants just leave your food sitting there by the warmer counter until you decide to ask about it.

Boo! McDonald's and Burger King Offer Spooky Black Burgers

But you won't see them at your local fast food outlet.

Burger King is selling black burgers in Japan.

Competition can lead to some strange choices. How about McDonald's (MCD) and Burger King (BKW) duking it out with black burgers?

This spooky battle started after Burger King unveiled its black burger last month in Japan. Black bun (colored by bamboo charcoal). Black sauce (made with squid ink). Black cheese (more bamboo charcoal). Even the burger has extra black in it (black pepper). Seriously.

In Japan, it has met with mixed reviews. "I'm a little disappointed because to me, it has no special taste or anything," Julien Tirode, an event planner from France told the Associated Press. "Yes, the burger is black, the cheese is black, there's little black stuff in the meat, but [other than that] that, there's nothing special to me."

The Golden Arches Go Black, Too

McDonald's did what it had to, striking back with its own special edition Halloween black burger. You can't make up stuff like this.

To its credit, McDonald's skipped the black cheese and stuck with its traditional yellow. The McDonald's burger is dubbed the Ikasumi, which means squid ink. That's what's gives the bun its special color. Also on the sandwich are two standard beef patties, the cheese, spicy sauce and fried onions.

Think they'll be serving these up in the U.S. anytime soon?

I had a the Big King XXL with no sauce tonight. Just the burger. Ate it with salad at home. It was good :D

Was is not uber dry??
No, it was perfect. I don't like the way food is drenched in sauce these days. It's unnecessary and disgusting if done really to excess IMO, but this is because I got used to eating more plainly a few years ago.

The best thing about burgers is when the sauce drips on your fingers and you need to lick it off.
