Burger King Review

i went around 18h00 to check it out by Cav Sq... Lines were long.... I'd rather go during week, before school finishes in the day.

At Mcd's I have to get a lot more stuff to even make a dent - at BK all it took was a Double Whopper and med fries! :p

Look man, Steers is cool - the Ribster is awesome for R39.
But I'd rather pay R50 odd for a Double Whopper + Chips + unlimited drinks..... Much, much more filling. I don't know why or what it is, it just is.
Plus they only charge R2 for extra cheese, not R5 per slice like Steers.

Steers is only on the list because it's close to my house, BK is 50km away :D
 
Even the haters are having bk, still nothing in Jhb.
I'm boycotting bk till they open in Jhb! :p
 
I've had both and can't taste any significant difference either. I'm no expert but I don't think there's any biological grounds on why they would taste different.

Chips are much better than McD's, and i'd even prefer it over steers to be honest, nice and crispy, steers chips aren't what they used to be.
I put the mayo on my fries, lol, first time I've done that, but it was awesome, the mayo tastes excellent, kinda sweet.

I make better onion rings though, but they are tasty...
Brought some burgers home and will try them later. (Big King XXL and 2 x Chilly Cheese Rolls)

So yeah, I'm sold - BK is awesome, even with no bacon. I'm content with their menu - even if they ONLY sold whoppers.

Halaal meat and non halaal meat tastes the same - but this applies to say lamb chops / steak / mince etc. When you take worse / raw burger patties (the raw ones you buy at the super markets) it is full of spice and dhania which is crap. Their cold meat cuts definitely taste different. So, depending on the type of meat you are referring to then yes there are differences in taste in some types of meat.

Never even heard of those places. The only steakhouse I go to regularly is Dale's Black Angus, who I'm pretty sure isn't halaal.

The spices is more an Indian / Malay Muslim thing, Arab Muslims have more Bland meats comparatively
So its really got nothing to do with how the Animal was Slaughterd which is what makes it Halaal.

Neither of the ones i mentioned are Halaal places , Ive been told that's the places to go for best steak in Joburg, just know they get their AAA grade beef from a Halaal certified supplier

Next time you at Dale's ask them who their supplier is, if its Karan beef - I got some bad news for you

That would be flavouring of the meat.
Two pieces of plain steak taste the same.
Only an idiot will say there's a difference.
Apart from saying a prayer before the slaughter the meat is treated the same.

Mixed meat like boerewors and processed meats will taste different if the non halaal has pork additives.
